Brush: Yaqi Cashmere Synthetic Shaving Brush, Dandelion Green Handle, 24mm
Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Superspeed A1 (1955)
Blade: Lord Super Chrome
Lather: Barrister & Mann - Presto Shaving Soap
Post Shave: Nivea - Moisturizing Post Shave Balm
This Nivea Balm is a slightly different version from I’ve always gotten from them in the past, but it’s all they have at my local store. I like it, but it contains alcohol, which I’ve always tried to avoid. (I like drinking alcohol, I just don’t like it on my skin.) I’m hoping the old balm hasn’t been discontinued and replaced with this new version, that would be unfortunate.
Interesting! I noticed the non-“sensitive” Nivea at CVS recently. Apparently it used to be ubiquitous until before I started wetshaving, and for the past few years I’ve never noticed it on shelves. I wonder what changed and brought it back to shelves?
Not sure. I always used the sensitive one, and that’s what I prefer. This stuff seems to work well, but I do always try to avoid products with alcohol. My skin dries out too easily as it is, which is why I always go for balms and not aftershaves/splashes.
