Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max with titanium frames with brushed finish. According to a new rumor, the iPhone 16 Pro duo will keep the titanium body but will move to a more polished glossy frame.

This will be accomplished through improved material processing and color processing, said tipster yeux1122 on the Korean platform Naver, and they are usually on point with inside info.

The tipster said the frame will not come from an entirely scratch-resistant material, which might be disappointing to hear for some users. However, we doubt this would stop users from buying the new models that might arrive in new Space Black and Rose colorways in addition to white and gray.

Apple might bring shinier phones, but we also expect some functional changes. According to a source, the bezels will be thinner, while the cameras will be rearranged to optimize the internal architecture for bigger batteries.

All these specs and features are still rumor-stage, and we will have to wait a few more months before more official-looking information starts appearing online.

Does anyone really care at this point?

You could put 10 phones next to each other and they all basically look the same.

If you’re getting exited about this year’s model having a glossy finish, then you might need to reconsider your goals.

I’d say this is just some PR bullshit article to make people think other people really give a shit.

Slightly off-topic, but I love how Motorola phones experiment with different textures, materials, and designs for all their phones, even when most other manufacturers are just sticking to a single design at this point.

not to mention that the vast majority are in cases, so all you see is the screen anyway

And then everyone will put a case on it and it won’t matter what it’s made out of. Bring back the plastic version that can be $500 cheaper.
