I love generating animal hybrid images with Perchance, and I want to sell them on sites like Adobe Stock, Etsy, Redbubble etc. Before I even think about selling, I need to know if any Perchance-generated images are made from copyrighted source material. I do not want to put anything out there that would get me sued. Attached is an example image I generated on Perchance using the prompt “rabbit caterpillar”.

Have a read on the ToS. If you have the copyright, I don’t see any significant issue. However, the selling platform might have restrictions on AI generated content so you need to check that too.

NOTE: Not a lawyer nor this is a legal advice

Not sure if you are in the US or not but just so you are aware, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will not issue a copyright to AI generated content. I don’t know what the laws are outside the US, but other jurisdictions may be similar. The upshot of this is that while you may try to sell AI generated content, you will not be able to enforce any sort of copyright on it, at least within the US and possibly other countries. Many (those whose countries don’t recognize copyrights on AI generated content) will be able to take what you post/sell and sell it or use it as their own without having to pay you anything.

I believe you can’t, unless you use your own personal AI, but anyway, I think there is not so much people who would pay for AI generated stuff, but who knows give it a try if it doesn’t work at least you will learn something.

Why sell an image when anyone can generate the same one with a few words using your model?

If you want to share stuff, fine, but why sell it? If you want to get money, find a job

Ew. Don’t sell AI-generated crap. Besides, anything generated with an AI is public domain. You can’t claim copyright on it because you weren’t the one who made it, the AI was. Have fun stopping people from copying it.
