    I really feel that both he and Caicedo should have said that whichever team won yesterday would be who they would go to - or that in the event of a draw, as it turned out, they’d let a coin decide which went to which club.

    On the other hand, is there another 8 year contract being dangled at Stamford Bridge?

      Chelsea is offering a way better deal to Caicedo and reports say Lavia is also preferring chelsea.

        Well, yeah, 8 years at what I assume are very generous wages. He could get injured next week and still get paid for a decade. It’s the smart move on the player’s part. Seems mad from Chelsea though. I guess they’ll have insurance though.

      Chelsea are offering big contracts for the amortization benefits it brings to expensive transfers. They won’t do that for a relatively cheaper transfer

        that loophole has been closed, 5 years is the maximum amortization from this summer window forward
