    Fifteenth Day of TabOKtoberfest

    • Brush: Mühle Travel Brush
    • Razor: Koraat Sparschweinchen (7/8", “Sheffield-style” full hollow, carbon steel)
    • Lather: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original
    • Post Shave: Mäurer & Wirtz – Tabac Original balm

Back from my study of waffles, fries, and ales in their natural habitat. I haven’t had the energy to unpack my suitcase yet, so no Stank frag today.

The Sparschweinchen was returned to me in person (!) by @PorkButtsNTaters666 during our meeting yesterday. It’s nice when slivers of meatspace life shine into the mostly cyberspace hobby.

The Schweinchen is as nice as I remember 😊

    Stank ++;

        😊

It smells a bit of cigarettes, old cinema, Bordeaux wine, and started wearing a scarf, so I guess it’s had a blast immersing itself in the local culture 😂

Off topic, but “meatspace” would also make a great title for a horror movie or video game 😄

        Lol yes!

It’s a reference to the techno-thriller/novel Cryptonomicon from the late 1990s where one of the main characters, Randy Waterhouse, refers to GPS coordinates as “meatspace coordinates”. I always liked that expression

Ah, I see! I only found the page on Urban Dictionary were it’s referred to as “Cyberpunk” slang for IRL events.

    • Lather: Noble Otter - Monarch - Soap

    • Post Shave: Noble Otter - Monarch - Aftershave

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

Another travel shave. Very nice shave. Noble Otter is a very nice base to travel with. It builds a lather very easily and quickly.

    SOTN 15.10.2023

    • Prep: warm water
    • Razor: RazoRock GC 0.84
    • Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
    • Brush: TGS Galaxy 26 mm
    • Lather: Declaration Grooming - Bangarang
    • Post Shave: Thayer’s Aloe Vera toner; Pacific Shaving Caffeinated ASB

A full head and face shave… Actually I shaved my head with DG Unscented and the Headblade S4, but wanted something with more of a smell for my face. So Bangarang it was - quite fitting for a rainy but relaxed Sunday.

I’m very impressed with the Goodfellas Smile brush, the knot is very dense and creates great lather fast. Plus it feels really soft on my head, which is an added bonus.

Currently preparing lots of stuff as nursing school will resume tomorrow for me. I’m actually quite eager to go and I interpret this as a good sign…

Enjoy your first day of school! Are you returning after a normal academic break?

In Germany, the education of nurses is alternating between longer blocks of practical work and school. So yes, it was a normal/scheduled break.
