Unsafe levels of fragrance oils would be my bet, since that’s the only thing that changes between the different scents.
L’Orange Verte and this are great: Not a tingle. St. Barts burns me, but others use it without issues. Turkish Coffee was like a that scene in Fight Club with the chemical burn, so I passed it around (with fair warning and informed consent of the victims) to u/Semaj3000 and u/Scorpio93x and it burned them too.
I don’t buy A&E anymore since then. I don’t want to support this business practice
I thought, maybe, it was a particular fragrance note. Shawn Maher has managed to get high scent strength in the Seaforth! series. Higher than most of the A&E soaps I have. But I’ve never seen a complaint about Seaforth!. I guess there’s an art to knowing what scent notes can and can’t be pushed.
