Yeah, that’s a transphobic dog whistle of an article.
It only talks about trans masc folk, and specifically, trans masc folk who are convieniently happy to play with women. They talk about how they don’t want to play with cis men, due to the physical differences. One of them doesn’t even say cis men, but instead says they can’t compete with anyone “who was born as a man”.
It’s not an accident that an article talking about trans folk in sport selectively only shows trans folk who are conveniently happy to play on the team that aligns with their assigned gender, leaves out trans fem folk altogether, and includes transphobic dog whistles implying that trans women compete at the same level as cis men.
Screw that article

It would be so much nicer to see an article about, say, a mens’ football team that is happy to support their trans guy team mates.
