My Moccamaster is on a smart plug. Yes, I use 12 hour old beans, but my coffee is ready by the time I go down stairs.

Pretty sure HD ready is 540p that can take a 720p signal.
720p is HD and 1080p is Full HD. 4K is Ultra HD.
I cheered up a bit when I realized he wasn’t dying, then I got sad again when I realized Planet Earth is dying.
I’ve had a Fold 3 and now a Fold 4. The 4s have much better and more efficient chips compared to the 3, and the 5s are better still. I think the battery story has improved quite a bit compared to the phone you have. You should consider upgrading to a 5 if you’re in the US btw. With trade in it is almost free.
Real talk, are you getting paid to read this book? Like, on company time, or you’re expected to read it after work?
This entire concept of reading a book for work sounds awful to me. Ive only ever had one boss buy me books, and it was just because they were friends with the authors and got us signed copies. There was no expectation that we would actually read them, and they were not all that relevant to our work.
My PS5 has 3.5 TB. 1TB internal, plus 2TB NVME, plus 512GB external.
My PC has 1TB NVME for windows, a 2TB NVME game drive, a 512GB NVME I’m not really sure what for yet, a 4TB SATA SSD backups drive, and 2TBs SATA SSD for media/downloads/older games. I also have an external 8TB HDD fo backups. So 9.5 TB of SSDs and 8TB external.
SSD prices have dropped massively lately. You should get a 2TB NVME drive, which you can easily find for $100 or less.
That’s like one ambulance trip
As a rule, kids are fucking stupid. A 38 year old who cares about chat bubbles you can pretty safely dump into a ditch. A 9 year old can still be redeemed. Also, kids need an opportunity to make mistakes and learn for themselves who they want to spend time with.
Apple tracks iPhone users. Apple is an advertising company. Apple just tries to block other advertising companies from tracking you on their platform, because they want more money.
There’s admin drama now. Oh boy Lemmy really is busy like reddit.
I was being facetious about the fat thing. Culture you can get in certain other places, but not everywhere. Many ethnic foods are only (well) represented in California, NY, and Chicago. If you don’t care you don’t care, but if you do it can be a deal breaker.
I wasn’t necessarily directing the comment at you (I hadn’t even seen your other comment), but generally to people who say they dislike California. It’s a shitty attitude, so it feels a bit rich to then claim “the fact that you’re expressing being offended is exactly why I was justified in being shitty”. Blah. It’s all bullshit. Ignorant opinions don’t deserve a positive attitude in response.
And BTW, you see this ignorance in California itself. People in Southern California think Northern California is a burning crime-ridden hellscape. People in the North think SoCal is shallow and materialistic.
(Dislikes an entire state with 35 million people)

Oreo O’s. No contest.
They’re jealous because they’re too poor to live in CA. They believe everything they hear on the news and don’t realize that there’s more to the state than wildfires and homeless people. They aren’t cultured enough to appreciate theater, fine cuisine, fine wine. They’re too fat to surf.
When I bought a bag of hazelnut, I had to dismantle my grinder and wash every part aggressively with soap and water. Just running more beans through didn’t help.
Sorry, but just throw it away. Your grinder will smell like artificial hazelnut for weeks if you grind it through. It might already be too late.
If it was just a roast you didn’t like, there’s a lot you can do. But when there’s artificial oil on it, you’re kind of screwed because that awful smell just lingers.
If it’s already too late:
If you drink protein shakes, you could use the coffee with the protein as a workout supplement with caffeine. The artificial flavor will get lost in the artificial flavor of the protein.
Except the ad market is down. An ad supported user is going to generate $2-3 in revenue over the lifetime of the app at most. The pro version price should be in line with that. Or at least not vastly more.
I don’t mind paying for a good appz even $20, but I just don’t know if I will get that much use out of it. If another app comes around and I like it better, that’s it.
I’ve been using Pocket Casts for years. It’s pretty solid. Honestly can’t remember if I paid for it or not, but I don’t see ads and I don’t have the recurring membership option.
