Not sure why these articles are only coming out now. My work bought me a win11 computer a few months ago and I was surprised to learn that the first few things I downloaded to the desktop showed up on my one drive. I don’t really use the account I have on it for much, and it was easy enough to turn off in settings but it was still a shock.
Just another invasion of privacy by a giant corpo that none of its users asked for
The point isn’t really about the conscious level of advertising so much as what worms its way into our subconsciousness. The layers of psychology run far deeper than most of us would like to admit. Check out this clip of Derren Brown manipulating 2 guys in the ad industry to create pretty much the exact ad he forced them into
Yeah, this is like saying “ads don’t work on me”. It fundamentally misunderstands pretty much everything about the topic.
The way cons stopped drinking bud lite? Give me a break, they’re not doing shit to dolly
But who put all the furniture in place?
An Irish setter
Of course, space is gay. Everyone knows they say space is hard.
I tried that a bit while I was traveling and the ID by sound recording feature didn’t really work for me. I dunno if you need pretty much absolute silence apart from the bird call but I thought I had pretty decent recordings the few times I tried it and it kept coming up with nothing.
Just artifacting I think. There’s a slight yellow color in the middle of the bottom serifs of the h that is similar to other h’s and which isn’t present in the b’s
…The bird app? What’s the bir-- oh, you mean the nazi app.
The fire truck’s not a kei-- keis have yellow plates
Ever heard japanese filtered through a southern accent? Oh HAI yo guh ZAI muss!
I guess for the basic stuff I do when I’ve had programs crash I’ve never seen it do anything, but nice to know it’s not completely useless
Even without all the invasion of privacy implications, I’m skeptical it would even work. Source: 20 years of “Windows is checking for a solution to the problem” that has never worked even once.
Japanese home baths are almost always right next to a shower, and you take a shower before getting in the bathtub to soak. Because you’re clean before using the tub, a family will leave it full until everyone has had a bath. They still empty the tub after everyone has used it though-- it’s not like they keep the same water for days on end.
It’s a similar concept at bathhouses, where everyone gets in the same baths after showering.
Let’s play identify the ml propaganda! Is it CCP or from the Kremlin?
Japanese usually does similar stuff. It’s the “mouth cover hang” in Japanese 口蓋垂
True. The internal sync browser loads slightly faster but it’s pretty much 1st world problems I suppose.
Didn’t do anything unfortunately. Using a private DNS worked mostly, so I guess that’s good enough for now
