I’d love to see it fail completely. I’m hoping that musk makes it a site that you have to pay a subscription to see anything at all on there so everyone can finally give up on it.

You saw the investor list, right? There’s a LOT of people on there who miiiiight not consider direct financial profitability to be the point of their investment.

          Top shareholders of Twitter include:

          1. Elon Musk (owns 78.7% of the company)
          2. Saudi prince Alwaleed bin Talal (5.7%)
          3. Oracle’s founder Larry Ellison (3.0%)

WTF they really need to relocate the evil lair in a volcano

That’s true, but I’d imagine running a site like twitter actively costs money. If advertisers aren’t paying, who is? Do they go to their investors and ask for money? For how long could Elon personally afford to run Twitter with all of its development costs?

What benefit does musk get from killing twitter? He’s getting something out of it.

Yeah, controlling the town square. It’s worth him sinking money into it if he can get favorable tax laws passed as a result.

Thats the sad part. The guy essentially kickstarted the mass adoption of EVs, and the affordable space launch market, both of which I’m totally on board with.

If he was 40% less psychotic, megalomaniac, and Nazi, things would be OK.

After the string of bad decisions he’s already made with this company, what makes you think he’s able to make good choices now? He has an echo-chamber where nobody can tell him to GTFO and that’s literally the only thing he’s ever getting out of it. It’s kinda like if someone paid an obscene amount of money for a junker car, then paid 10x that amount to put vanity plates on it.
