It’s a bit of a long podcast, but it raised some very good points. As an Asian American who went to a elite school, I’m very much torn between the two camps myself. However, I’d be very curious to hear other folks thoughts on this matter, especially on the points raised in this podcast.

    I think the sentiment that I took away and touches me most is how the existence of these elite schools naturally re-enforces the unequal structure of our society. How can anything designed to be exclusive support values of inclusivity?

    One thing this podcast didn’t really address is how the removal of AA will affect things besides elite school admissions. I fear that this will prevent important support programs for the historically marginalized amd oppressed.

    Note I got the privelege goldmine of white cis het male so my viewpoint could easily be skewed.
