As an Eagles fan, I see it too, and you’re not imagining it. The refs suck.

But I don’t believe that we are the beneficiaries of a conspiracy to help the team. That was a horse collar tackle that should have been called, but there were also several calls that went against the Eagles, including the ticky tack roughing the passer and some no-call holding on the o-line. Slay was grabby in contested throws, but so were the Bills secondary. Defense plays to the whistle, and adjust based on what they call.

We don’t want to win because the refs called a bad game. We’ve lost games because the refs called a bad game, some very big games rather recently. We know that sting, and we don’t want our victories tainted by blind zebras.

So Bills Nation, we hear you, and we understand your frustration. We’re frustrated, too. But it’s absurd to think the NFL is in the bag for the Philadelphia Fucking Eagles.

Despite the bad calls, Allen had an open receiver in the end zone in OT and missed him. He had several chances to put the game away and didn’t, and none of those moments had anything to do with the refs. Make either of the two field goals. Better clock management under two minutes would have also put it out of reach. Shit, with the game tied, they had the ball on the 25 with 20 seconds and a timeout, and they took a knee. The Bills are a much better team than their record indicates, and the refs were bad today. But the refs weren’t the reason they lost.

At least 2 DPI that weren’t called on Eagles, along with a horse collar on Allen that wasn’t called which ended up with Bills getting 0 points on that drive. In a tied game that’s the margin for victory.

Don’t forget that the missed Horse Collar was actually called Intentional Grounding against the Bills, somehow.

There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

The eagles went 14-3 last season and are currently 10-1. That’s 4 losses over 28 games.

It wouldn’t be surprising if there are other refs that have never called an Eagles loss. There are probably a ton of refs who have only called a single Eagles loss.

I’m not defending atrocious reffing, but the Eagles have won so many games the last few seasons this “stat” is a call out to that. Not to atrocious reffing
