I’m pretty glad I am leaving Proton at this point. This is yet another feature I won’t be able to use. I get that I am in the minority as a Linux user but there are still known issues with their existing apps that they haven’t fixed either that also affect me. It’s pretty clear to me at this point that I am not supposed to be their customer.
Update: Seems I was wrong about my main point, however, I still have issues with many of their existing apps, still can’t use the Drive app on Linux, and I still think their priorities are mixed, so I stand behind my sentiment. I am also not the only one who is disappointed with the direction they have been taking.
