TL;DR: The common view on Meta’s Threads is that it will be either all good or all bad, leading to oversimplified and at the end contra productive propositions like the Fedipact. But in reality, it’s behaviour will most likely change dynamically over time, and therefore, to prevent us getting in a position, in which Threads can actually perform EEE on us, we need to adapt a dynamic strategy as well.
“abusive instance” that is not in production, thanks for jumping to conclusions and gatekeeping the Fed to just a bunch of nerds, that’s definitely what we need here.
threads already has users and some of them are hate groups so… it’s a justified characterization.
There are numerous pedo instances using Lemmy, what’s your point buddy ?
And what we do with those instances? We defederate / block them.
Why are you here and what do you like about it?
I believe in Lemmy getting more mainstream appeal and completely replacing Reddit. That kind of take is ruining the chances of that happening.
Why not just use Reddit? It is huge, and mainstream?
