The trolls feel like insecure outsiders who haven’t matured enough to “get” Lemmy. It’s like they know they aren’t taken seriously, and want the imaginary clout they had on Reddit.
How is this not proving his point? Your whole comment is you bragging about how you arbitrarily decide that someone has nothing worthwhile to say based on an in group/out group dynamic that you created. It might not be needlessly hostile, but it is arbitrarily hostile.

Describing my own experience is not “bragging” or “hostile”, and since it’s related to the topic at hand, certainly isn’t arbitrary.
