    The same way Apartheid South Africa was a democracy. You conveniently remove the ‘undesirables’ from the system, and your colony of immigrants and their descendants becomes a “vibrant democracy”.

      As someone who grew up during the Apartheid-years, I have to say… that’s exactly how it was.

        Yes but Israel is a newer settler colony so the time-frames are different. Appropriation of the land is nearly complete in Turtle Island and Australia, but it’s very much ongoing in Israel. Also apartheid is no longer law in the US, but the racist fundamentals and settler colonial nature of the state remain.

          Yeah, basically with the US we are at the part where everyone forgot that and we must “embrace” it now.
