Just thought I’d share this. It’s an excellent site for reviews of apps and online versions of board games. The guy who runs it has got a pretty exhaustive list of reviews (though not complete!)

There’s also a Discord community which is friendly and actually very fediverse like in its lack of toxicity

Anyway, it was perfect for someone like me, because my wife is a bad loser and no longer plays games with me, and my son is 7 so we can manage Patchwork but not much more just yet 😛

Oh, this is really neat. I like using the digital versions of the game to test out the game before buying the physical ones. Usually there’s either a demo or it’s much cheaper anyway.

Edit: Seems like the content production has slowed down in 2023?

Yes I’m not sure if he’s taken time off the site for a while or not. He’s still actively playing. It may also be because there’s been no recent releases that have grabbed his attention though

Well, no worries for now, there’s plenty of content to sift through in the short-term. Will also check out the Discord at some point.

Yeah, there’s an absolute ton of reviews. And there has been a bit of a dearth of decent board game ports recently - I’d like to see him review Unmatched, possibly Munchkin just because I’d just be interested in his take not because I have a love of the game.

And Wings of Glory I thought was really good but seemed to slip through everyone’s radar
