New sub, not many active users yet, so time to get the ball rolling.

I’m Ada, mod for this group and admin for blahaj.zone and lemmy.blahaj.zone. For those of you that use Discord, I used to run the Translater discord server too, but I’m not active there anymore.

I’m rapidly closing in on 50 years of age, though I’m not quite there yet. I transitioned in 2017 when I was 41. I’ve got a non binary kiddo who has just officially reached adulthood themselves, which makes me feel really old.

My partner is @supakaity@lemmy.blahaj.zone/@supakaity@blahaj.zone, who, believe it or not, I met via reddit (may it rest in peace)

The TransLater subreddit is/was one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me, so I’m glad to see this community started here!

I’m 42, transfem, and just starting my journey… Well, I guess I’ve been on it a while. I was fairly certain I was Trans in my 20s, even had an account on the TrueSelves forum, but in the end I was too scared to do anything about it and choose to just try to ignore it. Now I’m older, still scared, but hoping to get on HRT soon.

Hi Ada! Glad to have a cool person as mod of this wondrous place, hope you enjoy all the blåhajs and hornyposts :3 oh and if I could make just one pun about your name: to what extent do you, Ada, think the ADA (or Americans with Disabilities Act) has significantly changed the way disabled people can use public spaces?

Howdy. I’m 44, figured out I was trans last year, and – okay, I don’t think I’ll ever begin to pass, but you never know. All I know is that women’s t-shirts are way softer than men’s t-shirts, that my brain works better on estrogen than testosterone, and good things come to those who wait.
