I posted this a few days ago on Reddit, but thought that I’d post here as well, since I’ll be moving away from Reddit for at least the next month for the protest going on about 3rd party apps and the API pricing increase.

I’m glad that I was able to find a community focusing on fountain pens! :D

The paper is 68gsm Tomoe River paper in a Lochby A5 refill.

That’s my daily driver! Same colour, same nib. A year on, it’s aged really well, too. Hope you like it as much as I do mine! :D

What do you think of the ink? My current favourite to ink this pen is Herbin’s Poussière de Lune, but I could use something a tad darker and this one looks like it might be right.

Well, I loved Lamy Dark Lilac enough to buy a scalped bottle of it on eBay when it was $120. :D

It’s one of my favorite inks in my collection. I’m just now starting to use it more. My second favorite ink is also a purple one; Diamine Imperial Purple.

    That pen is gorgeous!

Welcome to Lemmy. I have my fingers crossed that it’ll be a resounding success and we don’t need to go back.

Same. r/FountainPens was one of the subreddits that I actually interacted with, rather than just lurked on, so I’m glad to see that there’s already a community here on the Fediverse for my favorite obsession. :)

They don’t feel chunky when I’m holding them. The grip itself is actually fairly small. I did end up removing the clip from the purple one though. It just ended up seeming better without the clip.

Thank you! I’ve been looking at them as a potential purchase, but that really thick posted cap just looked kind of uncomfortable to use. I may need to give one a shot!

Here’s a picture of what it looks like in my hand. I don’t know if it’ll help, but the cap doesn’t bother me, at least. The Kaweco Sports are made to be posted, since they’re pocket pens.

I find the metal ones slightly prone to top heaviness, but the plastic ones are completely reasonable, especially when yoh consider that theyre primarily pocketable pens
