    It’s just a little exploit in the brain code written on3 for monkeys, the infinite attention glitch happens when a tasks complexity is low and the chance of a random reward is perceived to be high. Get a small reward at random intervals and it makes you feel like the big win is spin away

    I’ve never really “got” slots, it does seems like you’re putting coins in to watch a fancy representation of a dice roll every time.

    I really enjoy the machines known as “fruit machines” or “gamblers” or “puggies” in the UK - it’s still RNG at it’s core but at least it’s a bit more interactive in how you activate the main and special features, and it’s fun learning what the games are and how each machine behaves.

    Plus, if you do drop the jackpot, it’s nice having the next round of pints paid for in advance.
