Even it was AVNJ, you shouldn’t let some random strangers on the internet ruin things you like. Every one has a skeleton in the closet but if you like the videos, watch them.

What’s syncthing?
Why is AI bad?
I mean it’s not perfect, but it’s only going to get better.
I think despite the downsides of the internet that it’s clearly overwhelming good for society.
I’ve seen house sparrows take a house Martin’s nest before, not sure if it was already abandoned or not.
I thought you were talking about disposable vapes, if not, apologies.
For anyone that hasn’t heard of Elvana (a Nirvana tribute band fronted by an Elvis tribute act.
Yep. There’s no pain free solution to halting an addiction. You only stop when you really want to.
I went to college and have worked a middle class job since I was 17. Believe me, being smart has nothing to do with it, I’d say less than five percent of people I’ve worked with were “smart”, the rest are just doing the bare minimum to not get sacked.
What ever you’re lacking in knowledge and skills can be made up for by just being keen.
I admit that money does help, unfortunately, the mobility of classes has been in decline for decades now.
It’s absolutely not too late.
Your advice is decent except the start steroids bit.
Not literature, just an anecdote from someone experienced with both ignition based and vaped nicotine;
I find a combination of both tapering off and cold turkey to be best. When I know I’m coming to a stop, I’ll eek out what I have left and then commit to going cold turkey. The first three days of no nicotine always suck the most, but after that, every day is just slightly easier, until you eventually get to the point where you realise you’re not really missing it.
Once you’ve been addicted to nicotine, you never really stop wanting it, but after a while you become ok with the idea of not needing it. The only reason I gave up was because I realised I was essentially paying a subscription to feel normal, it wasn’t even pleasurable anymore.
My best advice is never try it, but to each there own, I’d never tell anyone what should or shouldn’t go in to their body.
An interesting read. Thank you
It’s not bad to be fat
It objectively is and it’s a terrible comparison to being short.
Being fat is terrible for your health and will limit your chances in love. It’s not politically correct to admit it, but most people simply aren’t attracted to people that are overweight, and whilst appearances shouldn’t matter, they absolutely do.
The difference between being short and being fat is that you can’t control your height. Controlling your weight might not be fun, but you can essentially choose what weight you are.
Bullying is obviously never ok, but if you’re not ok with the idea of being called fat, then you can choose not to consistently over eat for long periods of time.
Inb4: I understand some people have severe health and mental issues that are the primary source of their obesity and I empathise hugely with these people, but most overweight people simply lack will power. Losing weight is like giving up smoking, you can want to do it, but you don’t until you say “enough is enough” and actually mean it.
Who seriously heard this song and thought, “this sounds amazing, I need to buy the album!”?
It was catchy as a gimmick song but I’m absolutely unsurprised that we didn’t hear anything further from ‘The Ting Tings’.
In the UK a few pubs have started the “how much would you like to tip?” When you pay by card.
When I see that, it’s always the last pint I buy from there.
Tipping is not customary here. People tip if they think the service is exceptional or they might “buy the bar tender a drink” if they want to build a relationship as a regular. I’m not OK with this shitty American culture creeping in.
In pretty much every other country, you pay once and the worker gets paid from that.
It’s pretty much only America where you pay once for the food and then again for the service because the employees wage is so horrifically low that they can’t survive with out your direct subsidy.
Earning enough from your hourly rate/salary isn’t a punishment, it just simplifies the process and removes the need for the “how much do we tip” conversation.
If you think the service was exceptional, you can still tip, it’s just the difference between rewarding great work and tipping out of obligation.
Not an unpopular opinion
Thanks
