sees one word, writes three paragraph angry response about it
anyone care to share what specific places they might use this for?
What I don’t see discussed already here is that it depends on the relationship. Both of you being drunk is not the right time to decide for the first time that you want to do it, but if you’ve already made that decision and now happen to be drunk, whatever.
Consent and being drunk is not about a power imbalance, or at least not completely. It is about both parties’ capabilities to consider the consequences of their actions. Will one or both regret what they’ve done later? How would they tell, if they were either of them drunk?
Don’t fly if you care about your privacy

In which CGPGrey discusses ordering parts to replace inside of hotel A/Cs so that he set the room temp to 16º. Quite chilly, btw, why do you need that??
When? When what?
No. I have not. I think there has been a decent sized chunk of the population who has never had much interest in reading anything. That percentage has not made a noticeable spike.
Don’t know if you’ve already heard about this or not, but I highly recommend looking into GrapheneOS on a Google Pixel. GrapheneOS is fewer headaches than lineageos, and the Pixel is easier to acquire. On the whole, it ends up being more privacy focused as well, despite the irony of being a Google phone.
I hear a lot of iPhone users in agreement that that phone is one of the first ones that has made them even briefly consider what life on the other side would be like.
But all of them also say they’ll just wait for Apple to do it. I’m not convinced they will, but only time will tell.
What do you mean, “what happened to” parents deciding what books are placed in the children’s section of a library? That has never been the case. There is no committee of parents meeting to decide on whether each book is appropriate for everyone’s kids. It’s a library. If a parent doesn’t approve of the book their child wants to check out they say “no.” It’s as simple as that. These are children’s books, they will be put in libraries in the children’s section.
They say they use Apple Podcasts, so depending what platforms they mean exactly, Overcast might work. It’s definitely my pick of podcast app as well
What does “cheat with you” mean exactly?
I dislike this one quite a bit. I’m a good planner, but we’re all human, and can forget sometimes. This quote is just an excuse to feel better about not helping someone out, and not in a healthy I’m-setting-boundaries manner.
This is a good idea. Politics skews way too far to the older side, when it is the younger who will be more affected. 16 year olds can drive and have a job, and while they have maturing to do, they are absolutely capable of the level of thought required to vote. Ashcroft’s complaint about 14 year olds wanting to vote is quite valid- but hey, maybe he’s right and they should just aim for 14 right out the gate! Lol… I doubt this will go anywhere, but I hope I am surprised.
Revolt.chat is far nicer than Matrix usability-wise
There will be a lot to figure out. The new designs provide features that the old ones couldn’t- and there are very few people who would prioritize a replaceable battery over other features.
I’m gonna respond to yours with mine because I like yours, and mine is also vegan!
I make chickpea salad a lot lately: take a can of chickpeas, dump it in the medium size Pyrex, take a potato masher, smush smush, add mayo, mustard or mustard powder, and a solid sprinkling of salt. Then add any more extras depending how I’m feeling, maybe pickles, pickle juice, a splash of white vinegar, nutritional yeast, crushed red pepper flakes, bell peppers, celery… many many options!
