I’ve seen The Fellowship of the Ring more times med than I can count. I love the whole trilogy, but Fellowship is my favorite.

In 2005 I bought an inexpensive black-and-white HP laser jet for $99. To this day it still prints flawlessly after sitting idle for months or years. The toner never “dries out” or goes bad. Nor have I ever once needed to print in color. If I ever do, I’ll go to a print shop.
I think I’m on my 3rd toner cartridge since 2005. Highly recommend.
How has he not been forced out of Tesla yet? Does he spend any time with them at all?
You know, there are actually a lot of lousy surgeons out there. Usually not at major hospitals, but at very small, rural, or poor hospitals. These hospitals struggle to attract talent, and these surgeons have usually left better positions in disgrace. It’s a match made in hell.
And that’s why corporate media will always suck.
Does this feature help our users? Yes, but does it make us more money? No. So we’re not doing it.
I have not looked into it or anything, but I think a tumblr alternative would do very well on the fediverse. I think it could even be better for self-hosting than Lemmy.
Almost everything looks dumb on tv if you know what to look for. Almost everything related to guns, computers, or driving looks ridiculous and fake. It doesn’t stop them from doing it, nor does it stop people from enjoying the entertainment.
Yep. I was on Reddit for 12+ years, and used Apollo for many years recently. I never used “new” Reddit or the official app. Quit and uninstalled Apollo a few days before the 1st.
Lemmy feels like home. And the fediverse concept is super interesting to me.
I know what you mean. I have a 3 year old. I don’t really bother to pick up toys every day. Try to focus on just the space that you want clean for yourselves. For me, it was the kitchen counters and the living room where I like to relax. Also, having a bin in each room for toys helps a lot, just spend 2 minutes piling all the toys in the bin will go a long way to helping it look better.
A minute or two each day gos a long way.
I always drain it off and then it browns up nicely.
Pizza and beer tonight! Gonna be a great weekend. Cheers!
Absolutely not. I’ve set it so that all sites are denied automatically, so I never even get asked anymore. I can’t imagine why I would ever want that, but I’m very selective with notifications altogether.
Yeah. I feel like blizzard has always been that way. How long have you been playing WoW? I feel like it was a product of it’s time. I quit before WoW classic got started, but I started playing the original about 2 months after launch. It was incredibly fun back then, but I wasted way too much of my life on it.
The one thing I would worry about is that a massive deluge of content from Meta would drown out anything else from Lemmy, and would effectively reduce Lemmy to just a client for interacting with Meta. Unless an individual could block Meta specifically (or any one instance) it would effectively kill the All category.
Also would the flood of new traffic make it impossible for individuals to bear the cost of small instances?
That’s just what I think anyway. I’m not totally against federating with them, but very skeptical.
I loved the show too. Really tempted to pick up the second book.
God Emperor of Dune. Really liking it so far and I hope to get through the whole chronicle by next year. (I’m not grinding them one after another). Dune (the first book) is one of my favorites of all time.
Also, Make Something Wonderful, a collection of Steve Jobs’ writings and speeches, which was free. I’ve enjoyed it, since I’m in that industry.
I haven’t played D4 yet, no. I rarely play games anymore. Not like I used to. And I’m too nostalgic for D2.
Comments and votes are sometimes in a state of flux as data is synced among instances.
I think this is true even on Reddit as data is synced across replicas (although maybe not to the same extent as the fediverse). Nonetheless, I agree with you 100%.
I sometimes listen to piano music while reading. It has to be relatively quiet and relaxed, or it becomes distracting.
