Here’s a shameless plug for Nossa Familia Coffee in Portland, Oregon. I’m the head roaster there and we have a subscription service.
Wow, 2GB for me. Good tip!
Very cool. Indos can be so much more than skunky dirt tasting.
I haven’t had Water Ave in years but it was always good when I had it. I work for Nossa Familia, so that’s my source of free beans. Of course I’m biased but I really like our Full Cycle blend for all brewing methods including espresso.
If you like natural processed coffees try out Push Pull. They’re in inner SE.
What are some of your favorites in Portland? I never branch out because I get my coffee for free 😂
I like the George Howell method: https://georgehowellcoffee.com/pages/brew-guide-chemex-six-cup-for-one
It’s super easy and I’ve gotten great results using it for years now.
EDIT: Since I didn’t fully read the title I mentioned my favorite hot method bonk. But for iced I use the same method except that I grind a little finer, use half the full weight of water as ice in the Chemex, then do the 3 pulses at half the regular amount of the recipe.
1zpresso J-Max grinder and Cafelat Robot is my daily driver. I use 20g in and 40g out with a 5sec 2-bar preinfusion and usually get it done in about 30 sec at 6 bars of pressure. I started running at 6bars a couple of months ago instead of the classic 8 and I prefer the change.
I use arch for gaming btw.
