Yes; my advice was going to be to get hold of one decent cooking pot and one decent chef’s knife and learn to cook.
Prepping my own food and being able to bulk cook meals for a few days to a few weeks ahead was a big advantage. Also helped me to get to know people and make friends.
You need a decent pot. And a knife you can maintain and sharpen. And to learn to cook.
“And he brought me into a vast farmland of our own Midwest And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil One thousand, nay, a million voices full of fear And terror possessed me then And I begged, “Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?” And the angel said unto me “These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! You see, Reverend Maynard Tomorrow is harvest day and to them, it is the Holocaust” And I sprang from my slumber, drenched in sweat Like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared “Hear me now, I have seen the light! They have a consciousness, they have a life, they have a soul! Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! Save our brothers!””

I thought Domino as depicted in Deadpool 2 was pretty cool. Just lucky enough.
Will you be able to get a seat at Dorsia’s?
I mean that sounds like a curse. Endless screaming. Where others may see a cute bunny munching on some grass, or a bee buzzing around a flower, all you will hear are shrieks of pain and abject terror.
Remember hearing it the first time. There’s a recording here.
Yes and no; for reasons that are beyond me the door has been left somewhat open on that one:
“Vitamin-E acetate (VEA) is found in counterfeit cartridges and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of EVALI patients. Other reports implicated the presence of aromatic/volatile hydrocarbons and oils consisting of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT oil), including terpenes and mineral oil in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) containing counterfeit vaping products. These compounds are involved in oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in the lung. Here, we provide the perspectives on the recent case reports on EVALI, etiology, and discuss pulmonary toxicity as well as the mechanisms underlying EVALI susceptibility and lung pathophysiology.”
But the cutting agent certainly seems to have been pretty bad.
Wikipedia has this article on vaping-associated lung injury.
The Daytona is not my cup of tea but the story is cool. Are you still associated with the industry?
These look fun.
Nasty stuff. There was an incident that made the UK national news when a professional cyclist was hunted down by thieves on motorbikes.
Beyond submitting camera footage or calling law enforcement when an incident has occurred, I do not know how you would go about stopping the guy you’re describing.
Has he considered the possibility of Percy, Nigel and Rupert working together? The first two loosening things up for the third one to simply walk away with the bike?
In any case if a cycle thief really wants your bike they are going to get it. No one on the street is going to challenge them, and if the value is high enough they’ll break into storage units, sheds, office buildings, houses, blocks of flats, whatever.
If your route is predictable, isolated enough and you’ve been spotted, they’ll just push you off your bike and nick it mid journey.
The only real deterrent I have is that my bike is so crap that the resale value isn’t worth the effort of cutting through the three D-locks or specifically hunting me down. If for any reason that maths changes, there’s not much else I can do.
Agree.
Even on sites with an algorithm (eg Reddit and Twitter) my experience was severely improved by trimming down the follow list and then always sorting by new.
Ok. Between the two the Vaer seems more robust, comes with a nicer strap and is more readily available (the Citizen BM8186-15E appears to be out of stock in a few places).
Doesn’t look bad; on paper nothing really stands out as a negative.
Do you have a particular budget? Is a field watch the particular style you’re after?
For a smaller wrist I was surprised by this Seiko here as it smaller despite being a diver (it’s also more expensive).
If the Vaer is the end result of a search process for what you like, you may as well go for it.
I can’t think of anything that would help apart from a Casio digital. But your post seemed kind of lonely all in its own so here’s a comment.
Myst.
The key word is “some”.
You’ll find bullying is treated in a similar way - the perception of the person who heard or experienced something is significant, the intent of the person who said or did something much less so.
On the other hand, one could be misleading and mistaken by giving out incorrect information, but one could be lying if they are knowingly giving out incorrect information… (intent)
People will rip off the headsets if the ads are too intrusive and annoying. Which is why they’ll either be dead subtle, or they’ll offer you paid ways to avoid them.
I don’t think there’ll be mass adoption of this either way, mainly because it’s an expensive gadget coming at a time when folks on median incomes are feeling the pinch.
