They do
Have you played BG1 or 2?
It’s missing some of the gesture customization others have. I particularly like the left AND right swipe gestures in Thunder. Plus, there are more actions you can assign to them.
Thunder also has more visual adjustments. Things like edge to edge images and post action customizations.
Also, the reply window makes formatting and quoting easier.
The feature different isn’t big though, and most of them aren’t a big deal.
I’m not sure why you think Thunder is ugly though. The way I have them setup, they look almost exactly the same, except I have nested comments in factors more visible on Thunder, which makes it a bit easier to track the conversation.
BG3 is great. So far I’m thinking it’s the best CRPG of all time. I’d recommend it over DoS 1&2, which is saying a LOT because DoS2 is amazing.
Thronefall is a great, cozy game that still scratches my RTS itch.
I think New Star is probably only going to work for specific people. It has the look of Virtua Racer, with old school arcadey car feel, in Formula One style races with a career mode based on managing your sponsorships, pit crew, and engineers, while upgrading your car. It’s absolutely nothing like NFS.
I’d recommend it if you liked games like Rush and Cruis’n USA, and Formula One.
If you’re looking for something like NFS, NFS Heat was pretty solid. Forza Horizon 5 would be another game you might enjoy. Project Cars 3 is another solid Arcadey racer. I mostly play Sim and Simcade racers, so I don’t have a lot of recommendations for arcadey racers.
I agree about Plex. But I don’t get the love for Sync.
It feels kind of clunky and it lacks some features many of the other apps have. Personally, I’m liking Thunder right now, but I’m excited for Boost to come out.
Sync has ads unless you pay, it’s not open source, and I haven’t actually found anything superior about it.
It definitely looks promising, but I still don’t think Jellyfin and Reiverr are quite ready to compete with Plex yet.
This will be my first clear weekend for a while.
I’ve been playing a BG3 campaign with my buddy when I got a few spare hours, so we’ll probably play that some this weekend.
I’ve also been playing Thronefall. Great, simple tower defense RTS kinda game.
Also been playing New Star GP. A retro style, arcadey Formula One game in a retro style similar to Virtua Racer from the devs that made Retro Bowl. It’s got a fun little career mode.
No. I used to use Sync for reddit back in the day when there weren’t better options. I’ve just moved to apps that have more functionality and more convenient gestures/UI like Boost.
As for Lemmy, I tried Sync because I assumed it would be better than the initial lemmy offerings, and found it wasn’t much improved from the early days of reddit sync and was lacking options and polish compared to apps like Thunder.
Not sure why you need to be condescending, trying to defend some app just because I said it was clunky.
I never said it was bad.
I just don’t get why people would use it over alternatives that have more features, are more stable, are free, and don’t include ads…
I just don’t get the love for Sync. It was the best reddit app on Android like 10 years ago, but so many other apps surpassed it a while ago. Boost was smoother and had more options. As for iOS, Alien Blue and then Apollo were much better.
With lemmy, you’ve got great apps like memmy and Thunder that are imo better than Sync.
So you’re dealing with ads (or paying for closed source software) just to use a worse product that kinda goes against the FOSS philosophy Lemmy is built on.
Cybersec White Papers haven’t ranked an iPhone as the most secure phone in like 5 years.
I haven’t had this issue on Thunder.
I’m just going to keep using Thunder until Boost comes out. Sync feels a little clunky.
I like Thunder best
Boost is IMO the best Android Reddit app and they have a Lemmy version coming soon…
Personally, I like Thunder
Yeah, it’s painfully obvious that’s the case.
