Nah, I’ve used my parents’ induction hob and it’s ridiculously fast to boil liquids. A half pint of milk was boiling over in 20s. Gas stoves can’t compete.

Or enemisation/suppositorisation
I don’t think you can train for long distance cycling at speed whilst also being an equal and present parent. Between work, housework, and family time, there just isn’t much time left over. I love getting out for long rides at the weekends, but it’s just one long ride per week which isn’t going to get me prepped for a real race.
I wonder if the AI is detecting that the photo is taken from further away and below eye level which is more likely for a photo of a man, rather than looking at her facial characteristics?
I think you’re underselling Darktable somewhat. Being able to use drawn and parametric masks for basically all the tools, and the granularity at which you can adjust the variables across the entire image makes it incredibly powerful for non-destructive editing of photos. There are also numerous filters and tools which can be used artistically.
But yes, for “photo-shopping” as opposed to photo editing you probably will want GIMP as well.
Mildly?
I’m going to assume they’re not British…
I agree there; I find it frustrating when people who know that public transport is the better option in the long run never use it when it’s inconvenient yet also complain that it doesn’t get better.
It will get better if we all use it. We all need to take that step though.
You’re also having to place that confidence in every other person you’re sharing the road with, as well as their dealers and mechanics.
I know most people do have some options, so I should have specified that mine are particularly good. Cheap, fast, comfy, and easy.
A bit too much water between us for that.
I’m going to repeat Ursula K Le Guin and Margaret Atwood because it’s hard to overstate how much of everything is in their works. Iain (M) Banks I’ll also echo, but will add China Miéville because there aren’t enough anarchists in this thread.
I appreciate you naming more than one female author!
Reynolds sometimes lacks a touch on the human side of his work. That being said, I’ve not read much of his more recent novels so he might have matured since finishing his 10 year contract.
I remember reading an interview of his where he said he wrote his contemporary fiction in order to support his science fiction writing. Whilst they’re still good novels, his regular works didn’t have as much of his soul as his SF.
The most dangerous part of the journey is still the drive to and from the airport (except for lucky folks like me who have mass transit options).
Oof! Way out of my price range!
Good to know since dried are much easier for me to get hold of.
Do you use fresh or dried curry leaves?
Cocoa in your chilli, chilli in your coffee, all sorts going on in this thread
Yep. It’s very cool, but takes a little getting used to at first!
