A gtk app for YouTube and/or twitch intended for media PCs would be neat, with controller/remote support and ui optimization for air mice.

I don’t like the ux of kodi very much and trying to get it to play YouTube has been a nightmare 😅 a simple app with a decent user interface would be very welcome

Not the person you replied to, but to my eye it feels unnecessarily complicated and confusing. The organization of info could be simpler, and the card that pulls up partially in front of the list of entries seems unnecessarily confusing and always feels like it defies my expectations of how I should be able to interact with it.

Droid-ify has almost all of the same functionality and info displayed, but is an infinitely simpler layout, and a lot easier for me to parse. I don’t have to spend time trying to interpret the ui, figure out what’s where, and understand what I’m looking at

As someone who much prefers gnome for my desktop this shit is so frustrating. I’m kinda just waiting and watching to see if they ruin another thing I like about it :(

I think there’s kind of a difference between growing as a person, emotionally, intellectually, interpersonally, etc, and growing as a species and building as much as we can as big as possible. Those aren’t the same thing, and one of them comes with consequences for the world and humanity where the other does not…

It seems odd to me to lump them together

Someone forked the project (made a copy and started making updates and improvements to the copy independent of the original developer) and I installed it directly from the forked github repo, where it was getting updates. But they didn’t rename it until they published it on f-droid, so the app still showed up as openboard on my phone, just a newer version than the one available on f-droid

I had the same problem using droid-ify until I uninstalled openboard for some reason. (Technically I uninstalled the fork that has since turned into helibord, but it was called open board also before they renamed it for f-droid release, so it still showed up as open board in droid-ify, just a newer version)

It did show up in the normal f-droid app for me though

Yeah, I’ve been using it for a few years now. Not really given me any issues so I don’t have any reason to use X again, but my use case is pretty basic 🤷

I used it very briefly and very soon after using it got locked out of my account with a message saying my account would be deleted or removed or something to that affect for using third party means to access Instagram. And the option to appeal required taking a pic of my face with my Instagram name written on a piece of paper held up in frame

I hope you continue to be able to use it, I’m kinda bummed I had to stop :(

Instander can your insta account revoked and then you have to do a verification step to regain access. Not sure if you can do that multiple times or if you’ll just loose your account

Have you considered the obvious implication that that’s the specific demographic they had prejudice against…?
