Lol, that was a typo, I fixed it. Thank you
I’m currently working my way through Space Marine 2, been having an absolute blast.
Truly the end of an era
Vimm’s just got a ton of games taken down too. They’re still up, but at a significantly reduced capacity.
I tried Linux as a daily driver for a couple months last year. I distro hopped quite a bit in that time and ended up settling on Manjaro. It was a pretty good experience over all, the only reason I switched back is because I couldn’t get mods to work with Guild Wars 2 without crashes, but every other game I played worked fine and I don’t really play GW2 anymore. So when support for 10 drops next year, I’ll probably go back to Manjaro.
I was in Erie PA, which was in the totality. It was mostly cloudy until like 1:30ish. It cleared up enough to watch the moon creep up and the totality, then the clouds came back a couple minutes after. It was really the perfect window. I consider myself very lucky, because the next one that’s going to come anywhere near me is gonna be in like, 50 years.
I’ve not read ‘B’ is for Burger personally, but The Shining is one of the best novels I’ve ever read. I always used to think that Stephen King must have fundamentally misunderstood something to dislike the film as much as he does, or that it was simply a matter of the book always being better than the movie, but after reading it, I no longer have any confusion as to why he feels the way he does. I still love the movie, Kubrick was an artist, but it pales in comparison. I can’t recommend it enough.
It at it’s worst in my opinion with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. They’re all starting to get so fragmented that they’re not much better than just paying for cable anymore, and that was their whole appeal to begin with. Now you have to sub to like 3 or 4 different services to get all the content you want (sometimes more) and they all seem to be phasing out their ad free tiers. It’s like they forgot what made them so popular to begin with.
“We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem. If a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate’s service is more valuable.”

My mother had a cat that could open doors. Pets are smarter than most people give them credit for man.
Like the other commenter said, they’re a little stiffer than stock, but they do seem to have a little bit of a break in period. I suppose it’s personal preference, but it isn’t significant enough to bother me at all. Besides, the trade off of never having to worry about drift again is 100% worth it imo.
I can’t speak to any third party alternatives, but if you’re at all comfortable with opening up you joycons, for about $20 you can replace the sticks with Gulikit hall effect joysticks. They use magnets instead of conductive pads, so theoretically they will never develop drift. I did the upgrade on mine and they’re great.
That game is soooo good. The expansions are great too. I bought it on sale forever ago and never played. Booted it up on a whim randomly a few months ago and was totally consumed. Beat it so many times that I started researching speed run strats to see how fast I could beat it (which I never do). Can’t seem to beat it before the first winter like some people can, but I’ve beaten it just after so I’m happy.
Edit: also, fun fact, it has cross save support for the android version so you can continue your games on the go if you don’t have your deck on you.
Yeah that’s new to me. I have hundreds of movies since I run a Plex server for friends and family. Very concerning.
Congrats fam. Coming out is hard, but it feels so nice to not have to pretend to be straight anymore.
Looks like a baby coffin 😬
A buddy and I just finished Space Marine 2, it was fantastic, but way too short. I’d still recommend it if you’re a big 40k fan tho.
I’m just finishing up the last couple bosses in Core Keeper with the same buddy, then I’m finally going to finish Ghost of Tsushima. The trailer for the new one got me really hype and motivated to dive back into it after putting it down for a while.
Also just picked up Total War: Warhammer II last weekend, so I’ve been playing a bit of that on and off. It’s my first grand strategy game, so it’s a little overwhelming, but I’m enjoying it so far.
