Technically you can “control” damage without necessarily reducing it…
It’s not meant to be a perfect example. It’s a comparable principle. Subverting the self-driving like that is more or less equivalent to any other means of attempting to kill someone with their car.
TL;DR: faking out a self-driving system is always going to be possible, and so is faking out humans. But doing so is basically attempted murder, which is why the existence of an exploit like this is not interesting or new. You could also cut the brake lines or rig a bomb to it.
You read enough to get to the part where I pointed out “burden of proof” and ignored it completely. You’re a bad faith actor and an intellectually dishonest troll. I owe you nothing. It’s not on me to google shit, especially your insane and vague claim.
Nice non-defense.
Holy shit you’re bad at this. “Let me make a broad and extraordinary claim and it’s on you to prove it.”
Here’s why your rebuttal sucks and you’re bad at thinking:
Looking forward to your trenchant and scholarly “no u” rebuttal.

Yeah, just a million preventable deaths, huge transfer of wealth to the upper classes, lots of children stolen from their families and caged, but my grocery bill wasn’t that high, so I don’t see the problem.
Japanese gum wrappers, too. You can buy a pack of Trident-style gum where the wrappers are perforated and glued in so by pulling the gum out, the end rips off and stays in the package so you can just bite the gum and pull it out of the wrapper with your teeth. It’s beautiful.
I have an AnkerMake M5 and after having to fight with a Monoprice Select for years, the M5 is a revelation. It’s not cheap but it goes on sale pretty regularly, and it’s been stunningly reliable and consistent. I used to have to babysit the first few minutes of every print on the Monoprice but now I just fire off a print and come back later. It has automatic bed leveling, magnetic PEI bed plates, great repairability, and a decent app.
The “AI camera” aspect is so far a dud with too many false positives, but being able to stream the camera from the app and view a Timelapse to see how a print failed are nice features for a printer of this price.
That trick ALWAYS works. A cat can give zero shits but once that toy is about to disappear behind something, it’s on like Donkey Kong.
Nice metal coins and tokens, organizers, dice towers and trays of they like tabletop RPGs especially…
If you’re REAL spendy though, a 3D printer can be amazing. Although it’s kind of a gift that costs them more money, it is worth it if they take to it. Lots of downloadable organizers, tokens, helpers, etc.
Are you fucking kidding me? It took all of two seconds to find a catalog of the conservative scion himself actively stripping LGBTQ+ rights: https://projects.propublica.org/graphics/lgbtq-rights-rollback
Unless for some reason the only valid rhetorical claim is for there to be a recognized conservative leadership organization explicitly codifying in its charter that trans people should die, you’re wasting my time with your willful ignorance.
This feels like a bad faith hair-splitting argument. But just in case you’re not being deliberately obtuse, the conservative platform views LGBTQ+ rights, minority voting rights, women’s bodily rights, and many other important matters of human freedom and livelihood as invalid. Just because they don’t explicitly say “our platform is specifically to maliciously destroy the lives of these people”, doesn’t mean the de facto platform is not destructive of those lives.
Edit: Freudian typo hate->hair
The clear anti-LGBTQ+ conservative stance is no secret. Same with the white supremacy and Christian nationalism.
The catch here is that I don’t like people who try to destroy my friends’ lives. Since the conservative platform is to destroy many of my friends’ lives, I don’t like people who follow the conservative platform. Conservatives like to treat this as bigotry when it actually isn’t. It’s intolerance of intolerance, which is not just acceptable, but necessary.
I love Space Base. The designer is a mad genius. But I will say it’s more fun with more people and it has a lot of setup. Mystic Vale is another by him that works well for two and is slightly less piecey. There’s an app if you want to try it for cheap.
But if you want extremely easy to learn, not too hard to set up, and quite fun to play, Santorini is phenomenal. It’s literally about as easy to learn as checkers. The instructions are basically one page for the core game and then you can spice it up by adding special powers. But the core mechanic is so elegantly simple it’s hard to believe how little there Is to learn.
How it has any upvotes when the domain name is RIGHT THERE is beyond me.
