4 months agoI remember liking the Star Trek: The Next Generation LCD handheld game. Was it good? No, probably not. Definitely not by today’s standards. But in a pre-Gameboy era, the bar for handheld games was pretty low.

There is no overall consensus on how the terms “turtle”, “tortoise”, or “terrapin” should be used. Whether a tortoise is a turtle or not is a colloquial issue not a scientific one.
I see. Yeah, the end cursor can take some getting used to.
The thing that always messed me up when starting out was how deleting any text overwrites the clipboard. It was an odd quirk at first but I kind of like it now.
I still constantly wrongfoot copy and paste regularly

In November they did announce they were closing on Sundays due to budget cuts [1]. From what I can tell, that went into effect in mid-December [2]. The budget cuts were reversed last week [3]. So as far as I can tell, they were in fact closed for awhile.

201·6 months agoPeople seem to have this view that everyone in the '60s was a hippie but that’s just not true. Time Magazine put the number around 300,000. In a country of 200 million, that’s only 0.15% of the population. They were a counterculture not mainstream culture. The vast majority of kids did not become hippies, and many actively hated the hippies.

I have some good friends I met through concerts.
There are a couple smaller venues that fit a few hundred people that I frequent. When you catch a lot of shows in a particular genre and the crowd’s that small you’ll start to see some familiar faces at each show. You already have something in common which makes it easier to strike up a conversation.
One band I like plays three nights at this large amphitheatre every year, and you basically have to camp there since there aren’t any hotels nearby. So I’ve also met friends out there since you get a whole weekend to hang out and if you go every year you run into other people who go every year.

The Link’s Awakening remake was fantastic. I would love a similar remake of A Link to the Past.
Yeah there are several verses (mostly New Testament I think) about sharing one’s faith with literally everyone.
