The great enshittening of internet platforms continues
As someone who lives in the UK, this government and their adoption of authoritarian policies in the recent past is depressing.
I just hope when given the opportunity next year at the polling stations, the British electorate doesn’t vite to be f**ked Inthe ass again for the next five years.
Generally speaking these broad policies to police the internet are drafted by people with little to no idea how the internet and networks work.
They always seem to be in response to limiting freedom of speech or safeguarding children from ‘the dangers of the internet’
The truth of it is it’s a parent’s responsibility to limit access on their children’s devices. It should be the government’s responsibility and the vast majority of adults shouldn’t have to endure censorship as the result of an ignorant policy shift to protect children and other vulnerable people in society.
We don’t want to be part of the Zuckusphere.
