Hi. My name is Haily Merry. My interests include, but are not limited to, gaming, listening to music, all things tech related, and politics.
Nope. Not a chance. I have no love for giant corporations, and Reddit has always been particularly shit even by that standard. Say what you want about the evils of Meta / Google / Apple, ETC ETC ETC, but at least they generally try to keep their users happy, or at least using their platforms. Reddit just seem to have absolutely no idea what their users want half the time, Reddit premium anyone? The way they handled, or rather failed to handle, the accessibility issue also leaves a rather bitter taste in my mouth.
Yeah that seems to have fixed it on my end as well, touch wood.
I didn’t know they’d joined. Do you have a source for this?
Same. Would be even better if we had an iOS / Mac app like Dystopia, but I’m sure that’ll happen eventually, and I’ll take what I can get for the time being.
PS: just seeing if I can reply to comments without breaking the world. Keep getting language not allowed errors, and it’s getting beyond frustrating. Hopefully if I manually select a language it will stop complaining. It seems to be very hit and miss as to weather or not it throws a fit, it didn’t care when I was replying to a comment in my own thread, but my last couple attempts to reply to this comment haven’t gone through at all. Hopefully it works now.
Test.
Edit: okay, this seems to work now. Didn’t even need to select a language that time, for some reason it didn’t even complain but at least it’s there if I run into the same error again.
Update. Apparently this is happening here as well. I just got that same language not allowed error when attempting to reply to a comment in another thread.
Okay, this is very odd. It says English right above my post, so clearly it didn’t select undetermined by default. Perhaps this could be caused by something else entirely. It’s extremely irritating either way.
Thanks for all of the work you’re doing. This is definitely looking more and more like a viable alternative to Reddit.
Definitely a cool feature, just wish it didn’t dump everything in the subject field when making posts. Also, it looks like you boost posts / comments to upvote them, which isn’t exactly ideal if you plan on not pissing off literally all of your followers.
