I mean an average teen aint gonna find Lemmy or even like using Fediverse stuff, they mostly stick to mainstream social media. Sign up applications probably further weeds them out. Yay no pesky kids.

(I don’t hate younger people, I just find that many of them tend to be immature and use the anonymity of the internet to post edgy opinions like racism)

I managed to learn english when I arrived in the US around age 8-10, now in early 20s, I aint gonna be able to learn 4 languages, I barely passed spanish class.

My theory is that they see as a religious garment like a hijab/niqab, something you only do if you are a pro-illuminati cultist.

My sympathy for Ukraine says they should.

My survival instincts as an American would say they shouldn’t because then Russia get big mad and nuke us. I don’t enjoy radiation, so my survival brain is saying they shouldn’t.

But my suicidal brain after seeing the result of the US presidential election says: Fuck it, let them do whatever, hell we can even gift some to them. Climate is fucked anyways. I hate this reality, but remember that in 1950, Black Americans were literally being lynched. I don’t think a trump presidency is worse than that or even nearly as bad, at least not this soon. If dems dont win the midterms and get a 2028 trifecta we might have a problem.

Remember, the US has federalism. Power is shared between the states and the federal government. The federal government dont have the manpower to literally put people in concentration camps, not yet.

If you live in a red state or red city, move, now. Move to a Blue State and Blue City.

Federalism is our last defence against fascism. Democracy might be dying, but it aint dead yet. The Climate however, thats another story :(

Only thing an average person can do is try to get people to vote, midterms, presidential, local. Every election Primary or General. Low turnout in Primary could lead to disasterous candidates.

I look at the reddit front page and everyone one in the comments are saying the posts on reddit are bot activity, which, at this point, I don’t doubt. Internet is dead. :(
