I definitely was thinking of how litRPG fit in when working on a couple of the squares. I have a soft spot for JP Valentine since I was introduced to the genre via his books.

This very reason is why I cut off both thumbs. Can’t force me to unlock my phone with my thumb print now. Checkmate, cops.

Less risk of computer viruses, higher risk of bird flu though.
I love SwiftOnSecurity.
Why did you censor Forks?
Because that’s how she’s told people she prefers to be called, that’s how she still brands her social media.
People respecting somebody else’s choice for how to refer to them is literally the example that is the worst for your argument.
Or below average…
This wiki page, not itself as an original source but as a collection of original papers in the references for you to peruse at your leisure is a great starting point. But your question is a bit like the “Did you know Aristotle never said ‘Thank You’? Mostly because he didn’t speak English.” Joke. You are expecting modern accommodations and language in texts from a different era that would have used unfamiliar forms or language like ancient Egypt that had a 3rd gender “sekhet”.
What’s up with people changing their names after marriage or adoption too‽
Why does everyone refer to her as Marie Curie instead of Maria Skłodowska? It’s just soo unnecessarily complicated to have to use a different name than the one assigned at birth.
We can remember it for you wholesale.
Are you looking for a book reading app:
Or
I tried to go for quick reads. The top 3 recommendations (all novellas, but incredible) would be
Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman Or All Systems Red by Martha Wells (already mentioned by others too) Or A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
And 2 honorable mentions that are longer: Thief by Margaret Whalen Turner The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
I used to use Delicious Library but the developer went to work for Apple and he can’t develop the app any longer. I switched to Book Tracker but it’s trying to be more than I want so I’m not set on it.

If you were in reality a bot, are you confident that you would know?
Short version is that the admin went frEe SPeECh ABsOLutIsT, it went about as well as that kind of thing usually does and most users left.
Hey, thanks. That’s the quality of other sources I asked for so many hours ago. Weird that took so long.
I’m completely appreciate that it’s the reason I put it in italics, I was trying to convey sarcasm but acknowledge that I may have been far too subtle.
I find it incredibly fascinating that in the over nine hours, since this has been posted, nobody has taken up the opportunity to post another source that backs up this reporting they just continue to attack the critique
That would be literally devastating if I had cited Wikipedia itself instead of using it as a way to point you to a long list of citations from far more authoritative sources without wasting my time typing them all out again.
Good effort though.
If you enjoy reading, !Books@Lemmy.world is pretty active place to discuss what you’re reading and review it or get recommendations.
I try to post significant price drops routinely to !ebookdeals@literature.cafe as well. I mostly post ones that I have heard good things about / read myself and really enjoyed and are valid at all 3 big US ebook retailers, Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon at the same time or Humble Bundles. There’s no rule against others posting deals they endorse for other regions or other books, I just wanted to avoid it being a firehouse of spammy links and I only shop US Stores.
