Not that it’s a competition, but we have 1.2 million hectares burned in British Columbia this year, vs. the 180 thousand for all of EU. I just found the scale remarkable. We just have so much less dense population in BC that the number of people affected in the EU is drastically different. Stay safe everyone.

Not enough grapes
I want it to hurt them. I want it to fail. But I fear they’re doing this now because they’ve run the numbers and are pretty sure the vocal minority that will leave permanently won’t be noticed in a month.
Great game, the whole concept is very neat. I loved the combo of survival, action, challenge and story. Also, the devs keep adding more to it, so there’s a lot to do. I played many hours and I’d say it’s a no brainer to try on game pass, and very good value for $60. Not sure what it costs now.

Thinking more about this as I respond to other people… Another good thing might be to present some of the most active communities on different instances. It would give people something more concrete to entice them into the ecosystem then the abstract “join this server that’s aspiring to be a safe space.” What does that even mean?
I also feel like new users (me) will get intimidated by having to choose a server, without knowing what it means. Are you stepping into a walled garden? Does the server you’re on matter? If it does, why? How do I choose where I should join? I think there is too much choice and not enough pertinent info for a new user.
I’m being a lot more active here than I was on Reddit. Trying to make sure it feels like a dynamic space for new redfugees :)
I think 3 hours in I had only “played” for about 30 minutes, and to me, most of the story at that point was just trying to be as ridiculous and disturbing as it possibly could. Most of the gameplay was just avoiding falling cause dude doesn’t know how to walk. I had to go do something else at that point so I quit and never ended up coming back to it.
Maybe if I hadn’t gotten it free I might have given it more of a chance, but I definitely wasn’t a fan.
