Exactly what I mean. There is zero organizing going on for PSL in this area, so it doesn’t feel nearly as important to push for a socialist vote compared to other issues, like ranked choice voting and cannabis legalization.
Probably a background character since everyone took the good characters already 😔
Mostly OC, with the occasional shitpost

Tbh, I don’t expect any culture that considers tattoos to be taboo to be cool with weed.
Yeah, she’s been on my radar and I’ve heard some pretty good ideas and beliefs espoused by her and her running mate. Building leftist movements in a deep-red state is very much a “step lightly” action though, so I have worries that any overt socialist growth here will mean more attempted attacks on pride festivals by neo-nazis, and such. Hell, even mention of “antifa” brings out the crazies to roam the streets with rifles.
This is the #1 reason I have a hard time considering voting for Kamala in a non-swing state. We’ve got ranked choice voting in the ballot, so I’ll definitely be voting, but idk if I’ll cast a presidential vote or not.
I don’t endorse her, so why should I vote like it?
While I think it’s important to have some sort of media bias understanding, I dislike the bot being the first (and sometimes only) comment on a post. Maybe it should be reserved only for posts that are garnering attention, and has a definitive media bias answer for (the no results comments are just damn annoying to see).
It also has the knock-on effect of boosting the post higher in whichever sorting algorithm users are using. So it often feels artificially controlled whenever something has 100+ upvotes and less than 10 comments, knowing the first comment is always a bot. Like, would it be fair for me to have 10 bots that comment factual information of posts I personally like, just to boost their visibility?
There IS a full scale war going on. 31,000 confirmed dead Ukranian soldiers, and up to 120,000 dead Russian soldiers. We don’t even have a good idea how many civilian deaths, but the total death toll could be as high as 500,000.
And no, before you start - Mutually Assured Destruction isn’t “a full scale war”. Its Annihilation of both sides, and has no precedent in the history of war.
I think “modern game” is really a semantics thing tbh. Like, is Age of Empires 2 a modern game, old game, or ancient game? I think it really comes down to how you’re playing the game, rather than the year of original release.
Worms: Armageddon is another example. Is it an ancient game because of its release date, or is it a modern game because people are developing new rules and scripts to play the game by every year?
Considering Factorio is still in development and has a major upcoming DLC release, I’d call it modern. Plus the modding scene is still pretty active.
Mobilism is about as good as it gets afaik. Just use the same method as torrenting by only downloading from uploaders with a consistent history of good uploads.
Spotify is pretty ominous on its own tbh, with its emotional surveillance and motion tracking now being implemented to sell to 3rd parties. I now get targeted with White Claw advertisements after putting on a sad playlist.
“Melee_weapon” yeah that’s pretty dangerous I’d say.
Honestly, are you just into furry or “feral”?
As someone who used to post OC, it’s why I left. Nothing but OF spam bots and pics of pornstars. Reddit is somehow the better option, unfortunately.
I think there’s a good chance people will leave once Lemmy integrates with Threads. So if you time things wisely, you can probably get a good base of users to swap their coms to Sublinks.
What’s your planned policy for karma? I know users hated it, but as a reddit mod I found it super useful to determine between a misinformed user and a troll. If your plan for mod tools is as good as you’re saying, I wouldn’t mind going back to modding.
CSAM is still unfortunately an issue on Lemmy. Just yesterday I had to contact an admin of the 2nd largest instance directly to get a post removed that had been up for several hours. Worst of all, it had more upvotes than downvotes. I do applaud the admin for taking action the minute I notified them, but it should never have been able to get that far.
Also, some of the issues involving Lemmy developers really remind me of major Minecraft servers back in the day lol. There’s just an inability for the “helpers” to do much problem solving because of the lack of tools, and absolute reliance on the person at the top to take action. Even then, the person at the top doesn’t always have the skill set necessary to solve the issues that arise.
I look forward to seeing how Sublinks goes, but without a good reason for users to migrate it could be dead on arrival.
Hmmm. Maybe try a forced reset of the app? It seems to be working on tall images for me.
This is by default. You need to enable ‘Load HD Images’ In settings, however things will sometimes take longer to load due to the extra data.

Females are called Sows, males are called Boars, and pups are called Hoglets. The “hedge-” prefix is just fun slang.
It also had a Romulan cloaking device and ablative armor that would disintegrate when hit rather than rupture.
Roddenberry really just said whatever came to mind, whenever something came to mind.
Likely because it wouldn’t be reported to the government as thoroughly as hunting tags are. Politicians tend to be against policies that don’t directly give them clout when policies exist that could.
