For insurance to cover it the data tells them whether you are using it or not. If you don’t meet the minimum usage they won’t pay for the machine. Buying it yourself negates that, but they can get spendy.
Do not buy Philips.

Whereas we are smack dab in the middle of cities, but just far enough out of reach to be stuck with 20Mb DSL that will never improve.
Years ago I found a good list of manufacturers and the year they became compliant. I can’t seem to find the same list today (isn’t that the way with the internet?). I did find this site that seems to list the recovery capability of the vehicles which indicates whether they are compliant or not. This should suffice:
https://blackboxrecovery.com/supported-vehicles/honda?rq=honda
It looks like you are in luck! Bad luck anyways. 2012 was the first year that Honda model was compliant according to that site.
Edit: Here is another list so you might cross check (PDF warning): https://www.collision-recon.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/EDR-Supported-Vehicles-List.pdf
Every car. Not pretty much every one, but every one. Telemetry boxes have been around for a while and you can even get Telemetry Insurance if you have one. I think by 2015 all manufacturers had them.
Agreed! I’m just off the heels of the calf/electric fence crib too. Two bangers today.
It is merely the absurdity of the situation. Cow parents raising their calf to be accustomed to the electric fence just as they are thereby training it to be a proper cow. Just silly. Far Side hits like that for me. Sometimes the absurdity resonates and sometimes it does not. Even for me and I love it. Probably because most of them resonate for me. I love absurd humor. My paltry explanation likely won’t make it any funnier for you, but hopefully it helps you understand why I find it funny.
This one made me laugh. Out loud even. Thank you!
Many years ago, we had a troubled employee leave work very mad. He was quite furious with his computer and went home for his revolver unbeknownst to us. He came back to work with it and unloaded all six rounds into the system. Each round went through the case and each one missed the drive/motherboard/videocard. So, the system was still working despite the abrupt extra cooling holes. This further incensed him and he went away even madder, but this time in cuffs.
if they had the numbers to stop people from using the Oregon Trail.
They should’ve tried more dysentery. Worked on me.
No apologies necessary as it was probably me. It is late and I have been ill. Cheers.
Sorry, has it been posted in the comics sub before? I have missed it if so.
Yes, thank you. If you see my other comment I mentioned it and saw that the original Garfield cartoonist nicely gave it their blessing as well.
Perhaps we should lobby someone to post the Garfield variant!
Well, while you sort out the ever shifting snake’s digestive tract, I’ve just spiraled out of control trying to figure out why I conflated Garfield and Heathcliff in the Without comics. As it turns out, both are real comic strips. We see the Heathcliff series here all the time, but I don’t recall ever seeing the Garfield version here.
I am beside myself, so at least I am not Without myself. What a ride.
I initially didn’t put the “without Garfield” in my comment, but decided to go that route since that’s a comic we see here as well and it would add to the levity.
But now you’ve ruined everything. Ruined, I say.
Edit: And I also realize it is Heathcliff, not Garfield.
This is my favorite Garfield (without Garfield) comic.
Yes, and one of the reasons I want to keep it going. It’s an old Fujitsu and has a cool form factor (another reason). I recycled about a dozen laptops a few months back, but could not bear to see this one go. It came with XP, but I don’t care to reload that at all. Am also downloading older versions of Slack to see if they’ll work.
I have an old laptop with a Transmeta Crusoe CPU. Can anyone recommend a distro that will work on it? I’ll download this one and give it a shot too.
It is a “zero-turn” mower. Best suited for larger lawns as they can cover large areas more easily. And of course they are more nimble.
They have a larger cutting area than lawn-tractors, but smaller than brush-hog style mowers that attach to the PTO connection on a tractor. We have all three which get used for different scenarios.
My family finds my skills as an electrician quite shocking.
After spending thousands on NFL-ST over the years, (assuming it isn’t overturned on appeal) I cannot wait for my coupon entitling me to one small soda and half a hotdog with my nearest stadium.*
