It’s the shortest month but it sure doesn’t feel that way.

Deodorant is blue, deodorant + antiperspirant is white in the store. It’s also all aluminum free now which sucks. I miss the aluminum deodorant gel.
I don’t do that. I only thaw and grind enough for about a month’s consumption at a time. I got ~6 pounds of coffee for Christmas and only have a cup a day usually.
I was just providing my process because it seems, unintentionally, well designed to avoid condensation.
Good to know! Thanks! I vacuum seal what I can’t get in jars and let it all thaw freezer > fridge > ground.
I use old mason jars to store my whole bean coffee in the freezer until I’m ready to grind and use it.
A coffee aficionado can probably chime in on why this is bad, but uts the best use I’ve found for the jars.
I wasn’t here. It’s a pretty common saying. You might want to log it away for future use.
Most people could cheap out on tools and they’d still last.
I think this is a great one. I learned growing up that if you need a tool for a project buy the cheap one. Then if you use it enough to break it, buy a more expensive one next.
Tool trial by combat, so to speak.
It’s pronounced colonel and it’s the highest rank in the army.
For me it’s a tie between:
Don’t ever, for any reason, do anything, to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you’ve been, ever, for any reason whatsoever.
and
Sometimes I’ll start a sentence, and I don’t even know where it’s going. I just hope I find it along the way. Like an improv conversation. An improversation.
We used to always end up with expired milk because we don’t drink it straight, only use it to cook and with certain foods.
We switched to lactose free because, like many people, lactose doesn’t agree with me. The lactose free stuff we get keeps significantly longer and we almost never have to dump expired anymore.

I was looking for a grinder a while back and wanted a burr grinder but wasn’t looking to break the bank. I was recommended, and ultimately bought, a Timemore C2.
It’s been great! I tend to grind a couple weeks worth at a time and it’s not tiring to use at all. It washes up easy and you can adjust the grind based on application. I go more coarse in the summer when grinding for cold brew for my wife.
I’m not in the coffee scene much so I don’t know their reputation, as always ymmv.
Hey @doctordevice and I also have that cat tree! We should start a club because it seems popular with the humans and the cats!
It is valid to call out motivation and engage in discussion around it. It doesn’t invalidate the case being brought but too often people and the media like to frame the situation in terms of morality.
South Africa and the other countries that support the case are likely not (only?) taking a moral stance.
I, like OP and others, see these articles and wonder why this genocide but not that one. I think that’s the difference between a human view and a political one.
We have a heeler too! They might be good for this task because they are very smart and trainable and they’re rugged dogs, good in lots of environments.
This is such a cool share!
What kind of dog was he? Looks like a heeler?
That would be nice weather for Christmas here in Minnesota if you moved the letter down the alphabet a bit.
I agree with you in being ethically opposed to Threads but I can’t fault any instance that wants to wait for Threads to violate their policies before defederating.
I know some instances have chosen to preemptively defederate and that’s their perogative, I just don’t think all of the vitriol I’ve seen towards instances that haven’t is fair at this point.
Edit: I wanted to add that the only federate/defederate with Threads decision I would take issue with is any instance where the admin refuses to listen to the majority of its members or allows Threads to violate policy with impunity.
I had one job where the writing was on the wall for our team. One big indicator was when our director out of nowhere dipped out to a new job.
For a few weeks any time I mistyped my password and couldn’t get into a system I would think “this is it, they killed my access”.
They did have the decency to tell me first. Our whole team was gone within 3 months.
What is a short hike vs. a long hike?
I take our 2 dogs for 3-6 miles M-F in the morning. They’ll sleep pretty good until dinner time but then they’re basically ready to go again.
