Yep. I found it fascinating. I think the version I had probably had a forward from Asimov talking about how we were wrong about guesses about Venus.
I don’t remember much else from the story except this, and the big reveal of the whodunnit. (Or more accurately the how).
There was a young adult sci fi series by Asimov called ‘Lucky Starr’ and I remember Venus was Oceanic in that one. Old old series.
Did some checking, out of curiosity.
And yeah. Interesting as hell.
We recorded 65 dBSPL (dB of sound pressure level) ultrasonic sounds 4 inches (10 cm) from tomato and tobacco plants, implying that these sounds could be detected by some organisms from up to several feet (meters) away.

Did some searching. The paper from 2019 that discussed this -

Same. Would like answers.
First time I ever saw a group of Bluejays get loud and constantly cawing… I eventually found that they were following a water snake down the creek and were giving warning calls. Pretty cool.
Lol

I’m also one of today’s 10,000!
Doordash charges restaurants a percentage of the gross from the sale. Rather than eat this cost, restaurants are encouraged but not forced to add a markup on the prices they give Doordash (or insert your favorite third party delivery app here). They all do it.
If you order from a store’s own website though, Doordash (I don’t know if other third parties do this) did not “find” or create the business/order… they are really only handling the delivery portion.
In this instance, they still have some fees but do not take the large percentage, as that is a finder or broker fee. They aren’t bringing the restaurant the business, it’s the other way around.
Thus, restaurants can use their normal pricing. If you can find the places near you doing this, it’s a much better deal than using Doordash normally.
It’s possible if you’re on a beach where fishermen give them treats! I think I’ve gotten as close as 6 ft.
Lmao, right?
On Android Space RPG3 (free) and Space RPG4 ($3?) are really good spiritual successors as well.
Some of the original team are also working on a spiritual successor. Have been for a while. Don’t remember what it’s called though.
You…
You shot Captain Hector?!
I’m an inverted Y axis guy to this day… but inverted X? Unplayable. Lol
I finally got a chance to play ‘Bounty Hunter’ the PS2 Star Wars game a few years ago on PS4.
The controls were inverted x axis and couldnt be changed. I couldn’t get through the first level.
Fwiw, sounds pretty similar to me. Depends on your doc, probably… but I have a good relationship with my Dr. and my ability to discuss my previous diagnosis as well as meds and what worked etc. Was enough for me.
