I see fdroid update (1.1.4) from 4 days ago and github (1.1.6) yesterday.
I see fdroid update (1.1.4) from 4 days ago and github (1.1.6) yesterday.
To keep it updated I recommend Obtainium ( https://github.com/ImranR98/Obtainium) if you don’t want to use fdroid.
I switched to Kvaesitso (https://github.com/MM2-0/Kvaesitso) and Lawnchair (https://lawnchair.app/downloads/).
Not quite the same customization, but worth it. Kvaesitso is my primary and I love it.
If you use a VPN it can also mask it too. That’s how I used to get around it before moving to Google Fi.
I use both. I have a self hosted docker compose instance of mailcow, which alerts me when an update is available.
I also use protonmail as well.
Self hosting was a pain in the ass to get working, but I’ve had no issues with it once up. I tossed it behind a reverse proxy to keep it from directly touching the internet.
Fedoras flavor with KDE. Fedora never caused an issue for me.
All add-ons in regular firefox are available. Same with features. I don’t use sync, but I see the feature.
I use Mull. It’s Firefox but removes Firefox trackers and add privacy settings right into the browser.
You can get it via FDroid (I use neostore client) and it gets frequent updates.
That’s not true, I have Google Play Store with my regular gmail account logged in. I have all my usual apps installed without any issue.
Pixel 6 Pro with Graphene OS
Not sure the popularity, but here’s what are essential to me:
AnySoftKeyboard - a custom keyboard that supports layouts like workman/colemak
Simple Gallery - Fantastic gallery app
Mule - Secure version of Firefox
OneTracker - simple bullshit free parcel tracker
Xplore - dual pane file manager, been using it for over 10 years. Can’t go back to regular ones
Yubico Authenticator - Used to get OTPs off my Yubikey.
I have more essential apps, but they’d fall close or in popular.
Time to host my own instance. I disagree with this move.
I use Signal, Element (Matrix), built in SMS with grapheneOS, and I self host MatterMost.
I tried Threema, but getting people to move was more difficult than Signal
It seems like it would be calming. Though I feel the tub gets a bit gross for this.
Any chair recommendations for tubs? What about shower heads that work best to not drown you?
I use Qwant and find it gives me better results than Google most of the time. It claims to be private and such, so I’m happy with it.
My wife and I use the ZSA moonlander when we’re not gaming. When we game we switch to regualr 60%s. I also have a custom built split keyboard that I don’t really use.
For me, it saved my wrists. My wrist and forearms used to go numb after extended coding sessions while using a regular 60%. I no longer have that issue using a split.
I do recommend researching switches, as I found that using Gateron Red Inks, 45g actuation force, also added to relieving stress on my wrists. I lubed and filmed them too, which is overboard for most.
I also recommend trying different key layouts, I use Colemak DH, but Workman and regular Colemak are also good. They lower the finger movement needed to press the most used letters in English. Layouts can be changed on the hardware level on the Moonlander, allowing it to just work on any device.

I’m currently running the Pixel 6 Pro with Graphine OS.
Worst thing about this phone is the curved display. Everything else is good enough for me, which is saying a lot. I’ve had many phones over years and only a few have really been awesome.
In no particular order:
Edit: format and a device
15 years Windows -> dualboot everything -> Ubuntu -> Fedora -> Ubuntu -> opensuse -> arch -> popOS -> arch -> fedora -> arch -> -> popOS -> arch -> nixos
I’m sure there’s a ton more hopping around in the middle that I can’t remember, but this is a good summary.
