So it is a gross misunderstanding of the term, sad.

Calling all of these “pseudo science”, shows a gross misunderstanding of either the term, or the subjects mentioned.

Calling them just “fighters” is downplaying. Calling that a simple “culture”, instead using the proper call out like I did, is downplaying.

You telling me to engage and then baffled that I “dig” is making you look like them more and more.

It is technically “culture”. It is far from being only that though, and you somehow chose the least incriminating word to describe them.

That is baffling imo.

Point being that simply calling it a different “posting cultures” isn’t just semantic, it’s downplaying what they do.

We shouldn’t downplay racists, genocide deniers and trolls.

Go check what’s happening on shitjustworks instance currently and say that again. It’s absolutely not just a problem of “posting culture”, that’s downplaying who they are and what they do.

They’re just straight up toxic 99% of the time and they don’t seem to want to do anything about it. It’s a resounding echo of a sentiment on most Lemmy instances that it is how they act and yet, I still see weird and factually wrong takes like this.

The answers and reactions of those admins is incredibly fishy tho, and I don’t really see a good ending to all that with what’s been documented.

Your experience is anecdotal. There are countless documented cases of people being not only in control while lucid dreaming, but also remembering what they did. It’s just that there is a limit to what you can do in dreams, because they have a purpose and trying to force too much through lucid dreaming ends up damaging your sleep, which your brain will do everything in its power to not let happen.

The first is a game design point and no matter how much you dislike it, it very probably participated in the game’s success. It gives a better immersion and they did a good job at actually making the rig pleasant to go through and/or waste time in.
