Yeah I have the dBrand Grip on my Pixel 7 Pro and it’s very high quality. Very durable, perfectly shaped to the phone, and even has lowered sides to account for the stupid curved screen etc. Never been disappointed with purchases from them.

Ubuntu wants to own snap, with their own proprietary store etc which runs against alternatives like Flatpak and goes against the FOS ethos
Snap is slower and worse than Flatpak (the most popular alternative) in most ways, with very few pros that will likely be caught-up-to soon too
Samsung Health is the only decent-good one that’s free, but I use LoseIt! instead for reasons I can’t really recall
I agree, but more broadly about technology and working on it. That’s why I enjoy Lemmy and Mastodon but unfortunately my girlfriend literally cannot find anyone talking about anything she cares about on here.
The limited benchmarks I’ve seen put the new X Elite at slightly less efficient than the M2 Pro (let alone M3 Pro). It only gets marginally higher scores when operating at 3x the wattage.
Also, let’s not imagine even for a second that notoriously terrible ARM are going to make it easy to support this chip, especially not in the long term.
Actually, Suicide Squad equal with Justice League.
Suicide Squad. No explanation needed.
I love Fedora but definitely Mint for a normie. Even then I question if you should install Linux at all since reliably being able to do what you need to do is priority one, especially for a student, and if he may be blocked in his work as a result I don’t think it’s a great idea.
Pros: Moderation quality, app ecosystem, no corporations or ads.
Cons: Small community, wayyy too much duplication of ‘subreddits’ on Lemmy across different servers (inherently not an issue on Mastodon).
Transmission is awesome because it’s simple. It only does what you need and has the best UI for doing so.
As an owner of the Pixel 7 Pro, I’d say the S23 Ultra. Better in every possible way except duplicate Google/Samsung apps, mostly-subjective camera differences, and subjective UI skin.
Yeah nah you look great in both photos! Everybody can look better from certain angles over others, but trust me as a random outside observer you look good in both photos :)
I feel I can almost guarantee you look a lot better in everybody else’s eyes than you feel yourself. My mtf girlfriend constantly thinks about herself the same way you do, yet I know for a fact that not a single person who’s met her thinks she’s anything but a gorgeous, pretty girl - regardless of whether they know she’s trans. I know saying “don’t be so hard on yourself, nobody else thinks of you like this” probably doesn’t help because it usually doesn’t for my partner, but it’s still true.
I would argue given it is still animal tissue - not cellulose etc - it remains not vegetarian because it is not in any way made of plants. It is, however, not made via animals in any way and thus most people who currently consider themselves vegetarians would probably eat it as most vegetarians are so on moral grounds.

I used to pirate everything when I had no money. Now that I have money I buy games - including everything I ever pirated - and I pay for a few other subscription services that are worth or nearly worth their price. I pirate anything else.
I’ve been ‘blocking’ irrelevant communities in the Everything feed hoping it would do something. Was not aware that there was ‘filtering’ which may actually do what I want. Seems to me that any blocked communities should still never be visible anywhere though?
Hiding blocked communities from the ‘Everything’ feed please
2 4 2 means everyone is at most 1 seat away from the aisle. This is convenient for the staff providing food etc, for people using the bathroom, and for safety in the case of evacuation. I could also see it improving safety due to the weight being more centered.
Apples actually generally pretty good at not wasting much screen space.
