On one hand, I absolutely agree with this. It’s human nature to want to avoid such a fate if one can reasonably avoid it. If I had the money and could buy my way out of participation in a fucking war…I’d hate to think that I wouldn’t.

I know it’s their home and things like that…but not everyone cares about those sorts of ties, and they become even less meaningful in death. I’m not saying I condone their actions, just that I understand.

I’ll admit, I’m new to the concept of federation. Ive read a bit, but it’s hard to imagine how that all works once the scale goes crazy. It’ll be interesting, and I hope it grows to the point where I see exactly what you mean.

Let’s be real though, the same thing happens all the time when a site is young. People like Us who are willing to move over to a new platform and give it a solid effort aren’t the ones who ruined the last few sites like digg and reddit.

Once the masses get here things are going to change, and I’m not looking Forward to it. Things here are nice, if a little quiet. Good conversation, but not enough yet.

Amazing! Thank you for sharing. I’ve heard about the wanting heavier cars and over inflating your tires before, but I had never considered the powerband before.

I’ve watched a few things about land speed machines and it’s truly fascinating. Especially the aero stuff. Aero seems to be the epitome example of dunning Kruger, as the more you know, the more you realize you don’t know. (as I’ve been told)

That was a really cool picture too. When it rains like that, does the salt stay hard underneath or is it muddy?
