I recently got “Yakuza Like a Dragon” from my Humble Choice bundle and it’s so good it’s made me want to check the rest of the series.

Yeah… this is incredibly dated.
I went to high school 20 years ago and it was mandatory to take at least 2 years of another language. My school was extra so they have 4 years available of Spanish/French/German/Japanese/Mandarin. That wasn’t case at every school in our district but they all had Spanish and French.
This was public school.
I used to believe this too. I was corrected and informed that if it collected as a donation it is not the company making the donation and they can not gain tax benefits from it. They also aren’t paying a sales tax on that money either.
The benefit is exclusively the good PR from arranging the donation, which to be fair, they did. If the donation came through a credit card they may have covered the ~3% transaction fee, although they could potentially write that off for the portion that the donation increased the fee by.
Yes this is how sovereignty is maintained. This duality is why other members of the international community can refuse to follow ICC declarations one year and support the other years.
The United States doesn’t release that control willingly. Others would have to make them if they feel it’s that important.
Until someone can take that authority, they retain it.
“Whose” should probably be “thats”. But a native English speaker will occasionally personify things and so the meaning would be the same, but you are correct.
They paid him just shy of 400k. The stock and options he was given have nothing to do with reported losses. It’s all monopoly money until IPO, them we’ll see what it’s worth.
This matches my experience, as well.
My VW is like this as well. I don’t like it either.
True~ish. Farmers get subsidies in general, not just ranchers. But this is also Hamburger we are talking about. If the meatless patties were to replace the steak in a steak sandwich, they’d be more comparable in “price for function” comparison. The meat in hamburger patties is recovery from more expensive cuts and is basically designed to be cheap while the meatless patties are specifically designed to replace them.
It’s like building a small fence with pallet wood vs. what you’d buy at a lowes or something. Neither is gonna be priced at the premium of a boutique lumber mill or restaurant, but their inception doesn’t startvevenly.
We do. But on Halloween, we trade showing off our children in cute costumes for candy. And I mean… I also buy candy for the other kids.
It’s a holiday.
Teenagers in costumes are less cute.
I’ll pass out candy to anyone who comes to the door, and I like offering to parents as well, but I judge parents that have a big bucket for themselves the same way I judge people that empty bowls at unattended houses. Just because it’s technically allowed doesn’t make it approved.
I just assumed that was them leaving off, “without giving her a bunch of shit.”
Bullying your siblings isn’t just a right but your social obligation sometimes!
Pretty much. Mine was cheap, but my favorite feature is the targeted auto stop. So I set it to a pressure, and it stops when it reaches it automatically, which no gas station pump ever did for me. So I can get them all to the exact same pressure without stopping to check where I’m at a bunch mid fill-up.
If you are looking to subcontract some of that workload, I only need 1 mil to talk shit online
