I get the frustration, but AI has shown again and again that it repeats and magnifies human biases rather than blunting them. Non-AI algorithms designed by humans tend to make things worse even than that, like California’s “three strikes” law.

Genocide. Genocide. The fucking word is genocide. Fine reporting I guess but if the publication is going to directly allude to camps, they might as well use the goddamn correct term.
For directories, it’s permission to cd
into it. Read is whether you can list files, and write is remove, rename, or create new files. Don’t ask questions about the secret sticky bit
Sonars are not just a little “ping” noise underwater. They can carry enough energy to kill. It’s not subtle.
God, so good to see some good news
Thanks for this hopeful update. Show that the asshats do not represent ordinary Texans.
This. So tired of “reporting” that might as well be science fiction. Write an article when they have a fucking working prototype.
The apocalyptic shitstain author that the most bigoted in a crew of council bigots admires has this idea:
…in summary: the Stonewall riots of 1969 which launched the modern gay-rights movement opened the floodgates to another realm, from which ancient pagan deities returned to Earth, including the Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar, who is resentful at being marginalized for thousands of years and hungry to return the favour against Christianity.
Once again making the LGBTQIA+ world really badass and appealing
Thank you, soldier, for sparing me wasting time on crypto bullshit.
In DDT’s defense, it wasn’t harm to humans that got it banned, but rather that it thins the shells of birds’ eggs, disrupting their reproduction. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt people—I don’t know—but it’s this ecological harm that led to banning it.
That heavily depends where you are, what your support looks like, and of course, what your internal resources are. The point of coming out is both to live your life authentically and to improve all LGBTQ+ people’s safety and fulfillment by improving visibility and thereby acclimate the rest of the world to our existence. I don’t know if it was always a “celebration”—certainly for many of us it has been a fight—but it’s still worthwhile.
Each of us has to evaluate our own risk factors. If coming out of exposes you to more danger than you can sustain, then don’t do it. I have been assaulted (without real injury), been called names, and had death threats. I don’t like those things but I don’t regret being out.
Good they are being sued, but slavers should be executed.
Little tip, since it’s an Electron app, you can reload the view with ctrl-R (cmd-R) on Mac. Saves you a trip to re-open, usually.
The basic measure is “accuracy”: the percentage of moves that are the best move for that position. Computers are, as you would expect, inhumanly good on this measure. Better than the best human players, who will have “inaccuracies” even in their best-played games. It makes spotting cheaters pretty reliable and easy. Niemann has been busted for cheating online repeatedly, and analysis of his in-person play bears the same hallmarks.
They specifically don’t want good sex educate, because that teaches about consent, instead of ownership
I suspected as much, and you put it very nicely; thanks!
B6 has become my go-to size notebook for journaling. Used to be a committed A5 guy but the slightly smaller B6 is just handier for most situations, while still being more generous than a “pocket” size.
For the life of me I don’t understand the weirdly proportioned “B6 Slim” and its popularity.
He’s the answer to the question in Mad Max: Fury Road. Obviously he had and has a lot of help, but so much comes back to him.
The choices are always “accept” and “maybe later”
