  • Honestly I’m actually a little happy about this. I feel Mozilla needs to focus on its core job of advancing its browser and web standards so we don’t get stuck with Chromium-only world (like when us old timers had to deal with Internet Explorer holding the majority market share).

These side projects like running VPN services and social networks may have the best intentions but have had to pull from their limited resources. I would prefer they get spun off as separate projects instead of pulling resources from the parent company.

  • It may be easier to find a more well behaved ink instead of trying to get everyone else at the office to use a heavier paper. However, Rhodia, Tomoe, and Clairefontaine are your go-to papers that are fountain pen friendly. But this isn’t exactly something you’d keep around to run through the office printer.

If this is a private printer and you’re running a few pages occasionally, you could get a decent A4 notepad and pull pages as needed.

  • Not going to lie, I do the same. I love playing with cheap pens and just got a bunch of Jinhao 51s and a few Wing Sung VACs. It’s hit and miss but you do find some gems (some of their resin colors look amazing). Plus, if you accidentally drop one in the toilet at work you don’t get sad.

Downside is having so many pens on hand leads to inking too many pens at once.

I probably should experiment with these “micro blog” options and write up a few reviews. There are a ton of garbage AI generated “reviews” for these cheap pens, and it getting hard to find pens that come from a actual factory / distributor that has a ton of capacity… vs someone trying to scam.
