Let’s make a better world together! (In a neato fun awesome way that is. Not in a Weyland-Yutani way.)

“Prematurely encouraging or enabling children to alter their very biology or natural growth, no matter how well intentioned and sincere, poses a risk to that child’s future that I, as premier, am not comfortable with permitting in our province.”
The overlord of this bit of land has spoken! 🙄

I mean either he’s just the stupidest or this is all intentional and he wanted to kill Twitter in the first place. Either way, fudge him and his weird face.
Damn shrinkflation.
Neocities (mentioned in the article) is a pretty cool throwback site for making your own simple webpages. I used it for a coding exercise to make my own personal version of a Linktree thing.
Bear blog (link) is also simple and neat for simple un-corporate internet-ing.
Anytime dude. Your stuff rocks!
Couple random cool stuffs:
FreshRSS is cools. The way mamma used to make.
I know what they’re going for but yeah it does seem like an iffy move to sign everyone up for a main server. Unless they’re letting people get settled and then emailing/encouraging them after a couple weeks/months to change instances?
Problem with that being that most people won’t want to move after setting things up in the first place.
Charlie Huston’s “Caught Stealing Trilogy” or “Hank Thompson Trilogy”. One of my favourite modern noir pieces of work. A damn solid 3 book series about a guy who gets mixed up in shady stuff and can’t seem to find an exit.
I actually found and read the last book first, not knowing it was a trilogy. Which made me think it was trés cool how things in the past were referenced and added more weight to the main character/world. Turns out it was book 3 of 3. 🤪
All three made/make it hard to get into clunky modern pulp/noir style fiction since.
