  • I would really recommend looking into Usenet. I was in your position a few months ago (starting to look for private trackers), but ended up hearing about Usenet and going that route instead. It has been amazing so far. It has everything I am looking for, I don’t need to worry about a VPN, and I can download as fast as my ISP can go, so I get my content in minutes instead of hours. I also don’t have to worry about my VPN disconnecting for some reason and my ISP sending me a nasty letter. The only downside is, if you want the best, you’ll have to pay for an indexer and a downloader, but it’s not that expensive and is certainly worth it for the benefits over torrents.

  • I have been getting my beans from Fellow Drops for about a year or so now. I haven’t had a single bad bag from them, and I am always getting to try new things. Their bags can be a bit more pricey, but so far I would say it is worth the price.

My two favorite bags I’ve gotten from them so far have been from Onyx. Their stuff is expensive, but damn is it good.

How does the Opus hold up? I’ve heard mixed reviews, especially when grinding for espresso.

Very jealous of that Decent! Maybe it’s a good thing I don’t have one though. I feel like I would go crazy trying to dial in the perfect recipe with all the stats it gives and customizations you can do.

To drink, it usually just depends on my mood. Sometimes I just use the v60. For espresso, I usually make latte’s with oat milk. The oat milk gives a nice nutty flavor that I love. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll add some white chocolate and go for a white chocolate mocha.

For beans, I’ve been loving Fellow Drops. Haven’t gotten bad beans from them yet!

What issues do you have with the build quality? I have the one with wood accents, and as long as I use some wood oil on it occasionally I don’t have any issues.

Yes, that is unfortunately the trade off. I’ve seen some others that get up to temp super fast, but they overshoot it and you have to wait for it to come back down to your desired temp. For me, I prefer it slowly getting where I need to go rather than having to wait for it come back down, but that’s just me.
