Love the Meze 99 Classics, worth every penny!
PC Spotify -> Schiit Modi -> Schiit Vali 2 -> PreSonus Eris E4.5 speakers.
Or
Pixel 8 Pro Spotify -> “TempoTec Sonata HD PRO” USB DAC -> Meze 99 Classic headphones.
Does anyone think it’s worth moving to Tidal for my music?
Also, I’m running out of space on my desk. I can put the stack of Schiit on top of a speaker with minimal effects, right?
I wasn’t trying to outdo them. I expressed myself badly. I was trying to say that different temps around the world affect people the same way, it’s what you’re used to. Sorry for the confusion.
I wasn’t offended at all, I was just sympathizing with you, but I must have expressed it poorly because I got those downvotes.
I really liked reading this thread, thank you for making it!
In the USA, there’s a huge difference in winter temperatures across the country. In Florida they might consider it cold if it’s 10 Celsius, and in Minnesota that would be considered very warm! It’s really weird how much the human body can adapt and get used to a temperature. Personally I like it best at 50 fahrenheit / 10 Celsius.
Keep on making posts!
Not trying to say your temperature is not brutal, single digit Celsius can be really nasty for humans. In Michigan in the USA, it can reach -20c in winter, and -40 with high wind chill. You learn to layer and use wind proof outer layers very quickly!
Kyanite Toothpick is another cool track from that album, so is Mindful Solutionism.
I use a yubikey daily too. I have a USB hub that clamps to the edge of my desk, so I can leave the yubikey in there with no extra mess.
Not this specific one, but you get the general idea: https://www.amazon.com/HYWHUYANG-USB3-1-10Gbps-Computer-Transmission/dp/B0CNKQMXFD/
Check out the keychron site. Multiple keyboards that fit your requirements except the USB hub.
The tags only work with Firefox browsers, but they’re stored in a SQLite database. So there’s potentially a method for extracting them or syncing them. I’d like to figure that out so I can sync tags between my Emacs org-roam database and Firefox.
Firefox bookmarks have tags, which is way more than most browsers.
Exactly what I do. I use Angels and Bobs mods for a huge amount of stuff to do, loads of trains (almost 1,000 in my current playthrough!), and loads of stuff to build.
It’s heavenly!
I’ve been trying some of the tinnitus masking videos from “Dale Snale”. It’s been hit and miss though, some of the frequencies closest to my own have actually made it worse! So I’ve been trying stuff further away from the 13KHz region.
Yes, often. It doesn’t really bother me that much, plus tinnitus generally overwhelms those sounds.
Private Yacht Asteroid?
There’s a massive amount of hype right now, much like everything was blockchains for a while.
AI/ML is not able to replace a programmer, especially not a senior engineer. Right now I’d advise you do your job well and hang tight for a couple of years to see how things shake out.
(me = ~50 years old DevOps person)
Don’t give them ideas.
Remember: The Cruelty is the point. Republicans hate people who aren’t “like them” and want to do them as much harm they can get away with.
Sweeeeet
I’m very envious, looks so cool!
